About Mirage Feathers
◆Story
Notari had expected one day she would be separated from her best friend. Nothing prepared her for what happened that day.
Did the Institute take away Miroita? Did the military, or the Federation itself?
The distinction no longer seemed important. All must pay. Notari desperately fought on.
Luciolla, the AI created by Miroita, was Notari's only companion.
"Miroita lives" said her.
Must see her. The thought is germinating, growing more powerful by day.
It is a better reason to live each day to the fullest, knowing someone is out there, waiting to see her once more.
Must not abandon her.
Must not let her down.
Fight on, to find one another again, one step at a time.
She knows the day will come.
And then, the other one showed up. But...
◆Gameplay
You are FEATHERMirage Feathers is an anime themed pseudo-3D rail shooter. You are Notari, a cybernetic air-superiority fighter of the Federation's FEATHER program. You will experience fast tempo combat as you destroy enemy aircrafts wave after wave. Even though the whole world is against you, your ammo is infinite. So fight on, and prove your superiority!
Fire!
Notari's advanced fire control system automatically locks on a target when it passes your crosshair. Your attacks will then home in on the locked targets.
Variable Combat Styles
As the story progresses, AI companion Luciolla will acquire weapons specs from stronger opponents, allowing Notari additional main weapon options. They all have different effects, and offer a range of playstyles.
Initiating OVERDRIVE!
FEATHERs may unleash incredible power by initiating OVERDRIVE, enough to destroy everything in sight. Moreover, when in OVERDRIVE mode, your weapons system will have upgraded performance, all your attacks will be buffed.
Game Modes
This game includes Story Mode and Endless Mode. Story Mode has scripted levels, and explores the characters outside battle with text-based dialogues and cute character art. Endless Mode gives you access to the full arsenal, and pits you against infinite waves of progressively more challenging enemies that spawn randomly.
Cheat Codes
Is the game too hard? No problem, we have made um… Oh! Sorry, that's classified.

She really likes to stick with Miroita. Most people always see the two together.
Protagonist in the story, player character.
MiroitaOne of the two FEATHERs in the Institute and best friend of Notari. Calm, obedient and reserved, she likes to err on the side of caution.
Miroita often requires Notari's support to boost confidence, even though her abilities are Notari's match.
LuciollaNotari's companion originated from Miroita's own mind, but with a completely different personality. Her main strengths are intelligence gathering and planning. In combat she invades enemy systems to help Notari.
She talks like a real person, and would not make you feel alone.
ProfessorLeader of the Institute, and the creator of both Notari and Miroita. Even though she was hard on the pair, she deeply cared for them. Notari thought otherwise, though.

I didn't care for the story, only a few parts caught my attention. The gameplay was very fun and the soundtrack was pretty shweet. Endless mode is pretty fun, I recommend this game. Wasn't the biggest fan of the loli's outfits though, glad there's an option to make it less revealing and weird.3 found this helpful
Simply fantastic! The gameplay is a lot of fun, the different weapons are all so cool and each stage and boss is very creative and distinct from each other. The story was short ,the majority of it is told in the prologue and epilogue, but very interesting! the intro already had me hooked, did a really good job making me care for the characters, cant wait for a future sequel/DLC!! It was really mean to end it on a cliffhanger... I haven't tried the upgrades since i didn't notice the option the first time around haha, they probably make the game a lot easier, will be doing another playthrough with them and possibly trying out the endless mode.
TBH, this game is recommendable even if just by aesthetics alone. There are many rail shooters on the market, but we all know why we bought this one, lol. I'm a fan of pixel artwork, anime aesthetics, pretty colors and specifically mecha-musume, so let's just say I might have a bias here. Story is pretty short, but it makes you empathize with it's characters, so I could day it's competent. OST is very good, often it gave me Demetori vibes. Game also ran smoothly in 1080p, and I suppose would run smoothly in 720p in even weaker machines. Does feel built for the SteamDeck, even though I played it on PC with Controller. This might be a "skill issue" on my part, but I'm a bit puzzled by how difficult the game is supposed to be (Note, I did beat it and got max high-score and threat level on Endless both in Medium difficulty): At first I was getting beaten up pretty heavily, then found the "Skills" section and thought that it would be something like Hades or Vampire Survivors where it indeed is supposed to be near impossible without leveling perks, so I did level those. The issue is that if you level enough perks, you just become unkillable due to destroying anything in your path before…
An absolute blast to play!!!
I didn't really care about the story and especially the character design itself.... but it's worth it for the incredibly gameplay & motion design
Pretty intense. A rail shooter that doubles as a bullet hell. A little bit of a VN, but once the action starts it doesn't stop. Your screen will flood with bullets and you have to find a way to navigate it all. But the game is fair with different difficultly settings, and even allows you to use built in cheats if you are having a rough time.
