Mission XAM is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game template and re-releasing it on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio template he keeps re-releasing is just a basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down (or a platformer) stealth/action game. Here's some other results of his copy+paste school of "game development":

Haunted Jail: Alcatas
Ghost in the Barn House
Gaze at Maze
Smash Halloween Pumpkins: The Challenge
The Chills
Gregor Hills Haunted Hospital
Jaxon The Thief
House Number 666
My Haunted Doll
Axizon Labs: Zombies
The Haunted Exmone Theatre
Rescue Rina
The Haunted Tunnel
Heltons Haunted Hotel
Gaze At Maze
These are all basically the exact same GameMaker Studio game template with a different skin and a couple of things changed. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, using a game construction kit requires no game development talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when comp…3 found this helpful
Simple retro platformer game. Gets repetitive fast as the levels are basically the same over and over again. I'm sure the developer had a lot of fun designing the game assets (as stated in the description) and they do look good for a retro-styled game. If you're looking for something to pass the time with and gain some Steam Achievements, then give this game a try. However, if you're looking for a platformer with more depth, look elsewhere. Note: I was able to reach level 5, but the game bugged out on me as my character would not pick up the ammo spawn when moving over it. The ammo is crucial to passing the levels. At this point I'm stuck at level 5 and cannot progress forward. The game just released, so hopefully the developer will fix this issue.2 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/sYGrI_YXD3Y Lacking in depth for level, combat, and weapon design this side scrolling shooter shows everything it has to offer in the first few minutes and provides no variety after that point.1 found this helpful
These games are essentially the same GameMaker Studio template, just re-skinned with a few minor tweaks. There’s no real effort in terms of game development—using a game construction kit doesn’t require any real talent, and it shows. The end result is a series of games with little to no value when compared to the work of professional developers. No matter how many times this developer copies and pastes the same game, it’s still going to be the same mediocre experience. Repeating the same thing over and over feels like a cheap, nasty cash grab, and it’s hard to recommend anything about this.
This is the second chance I gave this game. There is a small progression (switching weapons finally works) but I still can not recommend this game even for determined achievement hunters (because the achievements do not work).
