Mistress of Maids: First Castle

Игра "Mistress of Maids: First Castle" - это достаточно занимательная визуальная новелла с элементами симулятора. Сюжет, хоть и не отличается особой оригинальностью (управление поместьем, горничные, интриги), подан достаточно интересно, чтобы удерживать внимание. Персонажи прописаны хорошо, каждый обладает своим характером и мотивацией. Геймплей заключается в основном в чтении диалогов и принятии решений, влияющих на развитие сюжета и отношения с горничными. Визуальная составляющая приятна глазу, рисовка выполнена в хорошем стиле. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую затянутость в начале и необходимость гриндить определенные параметры для продвижения по определенным сюжетным веткам. В целом, игра оставляет положительное впечатление и может быть рекомендована любителям жанра визуальных новелл.

As it is now, the game isn't bad but just not that fun in my opinion. It's one thing to not have music during the gameplay, but it feels really weird watching the beginning cutscene without any sound whatsoever. The "plot" is the bare minimum. An evil flan showed up to kill the king, I guess. Except the enemies don't even look like flan. Attacks happen automatically based on your location. It felt weird to me at first not being able to press a button to attack, but the thing that annoyed me about this is that you can sometimes be next to an enemy and not get attacked but then get attacked other times. I think it depends on the enemy's level, where you are attacked only if they are higher than you. The only strategy for the game is deciding which items to purchase since you can't proceed without increasing your strength through items. It's an interesting concept, but there are so many items and they are expensive which I personally found frustrating. Besides the annoyance of not being able to buy everything, the items remain on the ground and if you walk over them it keeps asking you if you want to purchase it. I find the strategy of the different skill trees puzzle like and that is half the fun. I look forward to the full game, but its release keeps getting delayed. (note: this is the demo and I've had it so long I can't remember if I paid for it or not but I definitely plan to buy the full version.)
