We really need more WLW stories with monster ladies in them. Thank you to the developer for letting me romance a snake lady. Loved the setting and general atmosphere. The interactions between the three main characters and their general dynamic were one of the best parts. I wasn't particularly interested in Jinhai as a romance option, though. I'm here for the snake lady, you know? The general pace and mood of the story just made it feel like Ai was the intended romantic partner. I don't think romance VNs always need to have multiple options for romantic partners, but that's my personal preference. My only other really gripe was that the prose and dialogue could do with a little tidying up and general editing. Dialogue can feel pretty wooden and characters sometimes don't sound especially like themselves. In one ending, characters start using terms like "wifey", and it felt a little like I was reading old Twitter threads about "heckin' doggos". Anyway! I enjoyed my time with Mizuchi, even if I don't have any interest in doing Jinhai's route (for now, at least). Linh is an interesting protagonist with a solid story arc; Ai is a cool and aloof snake babe; and I always love to see…

Mizuchi 白蛇心傳 is a yuri visual novel developed and published by Aikasa Collective and DDmeow Games. The game focuses on choice driven storytelling with multiple branches and five different endings. Plot The story takes place in a village in Vietnam. You play as a female protagonist named Linh (her name can be changed). She lives an ordinary life in poor conditions, as she has six siblings, so she often steals fruit from her neighbors. One day, after returning home from work, her male best friend, Anh, proposes to Linh’s family that he will marry her and give some money so she can buy new clothes. One fateful night, you go to look for Anh, only to find him with another man. But then Anh disappears, and a villager discovers you alone with that unknown man. You end up taking the blame for a crime you did not commit. The villagers punish you by stoning you and throwing you into a snake pit. The snake there is one you once offered an egg to. As a snake god named Ai, she decides to give you a second chance at life and brings you to her home. Ai is one of the heroines and can take many forms a terrifying snake, a beautiful mermaid, and many more for you to discover. She wants you to bear…

A very pleasant yuri VN that I recommend warmly. Its it good in all its aspects, whichever it is visuals, storytelling, musics, character development. A well rounded and mature piece with some stellar moments. The only bad stuff I can say about is a english localization which has some weird script code in dialogs, a couple of time. But it's not much a problem, most of the piece is fine. If yuri is your thing it's a no brainer to add to your collection.

This is a neutral review. I neither liked nor disliked this game. The interface, the art, and the music are all good (even if the text is sometimes misplaced, no big issue). My issue is the storytelling... The idea is good, same for the characters, but it feels like some topics weren't exploited enough? Also, sometimes the story is super slow, nothing happens. If you strongly enjoy slice-of-life theme you won't see any problem (maybe), but if like me, you need some mystery or something to stay engaged well be ready to skip all the repetitive or "filler" dialogues. And sometimes I also found the story going faster, too fast, but more rarely, some content wasn't explained or exploited enough
like the final fight, it feels so rushed
. I think this game will be more enjoyable to people who like slow storytelling with a lot of slice-of-life vibes. I wasn't the right audience.
