For a walking simulator this isn't bad. Graphics are on par with Half Life 2, performance is ok but there is a lot of collision. You get stuck on everything. I got hit by something in the water and was looking for a medkit. Couldn't find one but I did find a can of Glory greens. My guy pulled a can opener out of thin air, opened the can and munched down. Had a box of mints for dessert. [ You can't carry more than 1 medkit. ] There is a lot of reading. It appears there was somebody with you at the start but they left while your were sleeping. They leave all these notes everywhere. Like, they made it out and came back to drop off all these clues instead of waking you up first and y'all leaving together. Or coming back to get you. There's some guy yelling at you while you wonder around. Is he guiding you? Stop yelling and help me. This was in the horror section but it's not scary. Which brings us back to it being a walking simulator.13 found this helpful
Nice game for relaxing and solving some puzzles. The graphics and atmosphere are good, but some things are not explained enough, like a floating house for example. Also would be nice to have more sound effects or enemies for a feeling of being followed ( the game is not scary as is, yet some ambient sounds would give a lot ). Some main mechanics such as water toxicity and gas are not as punishing as I thought they would be. Maybe you can add a mechanic that teleports you to a random location when you eventually black out after breathing in gas for a long time? As far as I see there are 2 critical bugs in the game: the key to the door in the starting location does not spawn half the time ( or it is unclear where to find it ) and the game is not shown in the taskbar when you alt-tab from it. Also maybe it would be nice to make an inventory system to keep the notes with you, would be nice to look at the notes again. All in all as an atmospheric adventure with some horror elements it is a good game8 found this helpful
Needs a decent amount of work. It is kind of atmospheric, but not very beautiful. There isn’t much of a threat as long as you stay out of the water and know where the nearest towers are so you can hide from the fog, and if you have enough gas mask filters, you can just ignore the fog entirely. You can even ‘run’ past the swamp creature before it has a chance to attack you if you’re lucky enough. The movement feels strange and bad geometry makes falling in the water less of a possibility and more of an eventuality. After a run or two, you kinda know what you’re doing and can just speed through the game ignoring most of the loot. I'm hopeful for the future of this game, assuming the development isn't DOA.6 found this helpful
Great short ukrainian "stalker-like" walking sim / exploration horror adventure. Very atmospheric, can become a bit tedious (especially if you get unlucky with procedural generation few times in a row and keep getting lost) but easy enough to complete in one or two evenings. A unique niche experience5 found this helpful
Quagmire stroll in a collapsing dimension - very cool cosmic-horror premise and dense, hostile ambience built by pleasant visuals and absolutely stellar ambient music. The initial charm dies out a bit after the game's mechanics become apparent, but a job well done with squeezing everything out of this little project to tell an interesting story in a truly inspired setting.3 found this helpful
