This game kind of reminds me of Sound Shift, but it needs some polishing. The game's controls aren't very responsive with the keyboard inputs (the game requires both mouse and keyboard) so it's difficult to play properly and keep a consistent score. The mouse controls work well but are very slippery (not as bad as the Polynomial games though). As a rhythm/music games enthusiast, I just can't recommend this one.9 found this helpful
*informational review EA Casual music + cool visuals - repetitive = Play your own music and the system automatically generates levels from the song. Cool idea, just needs more themes, modes and variations.
Follow our curator for similar games
6 found this helpful
Yeahhhhh okay so this game is very "meh." I'm really into the niche genre of use-your-own-song-to-procedurally-generate-a-rhythm-focused-level-or-course. However, considering these are a significantly hard genre to do well (not to mention how few people attempt it for that reason, as well), this game is very mediocre compared to some others I've tried. Eyeing the reviews, the most common complaint in negative reviews was appropriately that the developer had left this baby to starve outside in the winter until it shriveled up and permanently stunted its growth. That is to say that, yes, this game has (had) potential, and to be frank, this could've evolved into a REALLy interesting product. Sadly its procedural generation while alright, is not incredible enough to be fully immersed in. Now, this game does have two modes, and I will say I did enjoy songs more playing in the RUSH mode, a running and platforming mode that is optional. I can't say though that it's a package I'd buy at full price. In its current state (and likely its static state), I can only reccommend this game as a sort of dollar bin experiment that I'd only pay $2.50 or under for. Despite the developer's inactivity …
Sadly the game doesnt tell you the controlls so beside the basic jump and wall-slide you cannot do much more
This game is arguably worth it just for the second game mode alone (which was added quite a while after most of the mixed reviews have been posted, specifically february 2022), hope the dev adds more content to it while fleshing out existing mechanics and making it a bit more approachable (you basically play some beat saber/surf hybrid and need to restart the track whenever you fall off, which is a bit of a bummer)
Its mechanics is interesting, but too difficult and fast to be enjoyable. Their symbols need to be more visible, and controls should be more responsive. Edit: It's not so fast as it used to be. It's still difficult to move the spaceship, though. It seems "heavy".
