Mutation Madness is a visual delight! The game has fantastic VFX, colorful graphics, and incredibly fluid gameplay. It's a surprise to discover that such a visually polished and dynamic experience comes from an indie game. The vibrant colors and smooth animations makes destroying viruses so much fun! Fun wave based third person shooter, cute and simple graphics and simple gameplay. The upgrades along the game give a good sense of progression and the weapon feels significantly better with each one. Took just a few hours to get 100% completion so it's a pretty quick run, the enemy variety is decent and each type feels like it has a specific purpose requiring adaptation and not just hit, run, repeat. The different maps also feel very distinct and increasingly more challenging. The difficulty I found to be a little too easy, the hard mode was IMHO much more fun than the first run. The bosses I found to be underwhelming as they don't add any new gameplay changes or a specific strategy to defeat so I wish each one had more individuality. Graphics and sound wise the game is pretty solid, the animations are nice and well-made (wish they were a bit more intense for some actions, e.g. when hitting enemies), as for the sound, although I found the music and sound effects pretty good overall, some sounds effects were a bit less impressive, such as the enemies' sound (too silent and gets drowned out). Cool shooter, easy to get into and plenty of engaging levels and upgrades.
Mutation Madness is an indie arcade-like 3D shooter game with cute graphics and a fun gameplay. The main game is short, being able to be completed in under 2 hours without rushing but its well worth the price.
