My Ex Sister in Law

Went into it without the highest of expectations, but this is actually a pretty cute VN. It's short and sweet (I think it took me about 40 mins to read the whole thing), but sometimes you want to read something short and fluffy to pass the time. Given the quality of the artwork and the backgrounds, and the OST (seriously, the music for this is very pretty and soothing), I think it's well worth the £3 price tag. In fact, given there is quite a lot of art for such a short project, I feel a little like I'm ripping the devs off for picking it up so cheaply orz The story's nothing groundbreaking, but Shouko is very cute, and it's nice to read a romance VN where the characters aren't teenagers for a change. I want more cute BxG VNs which aren't set in high schools: I feel like there aren't many of them out on the market... The writing is functional and it's fine. Since the story's short, the relationship builds quite quickly, but as the two characters have a history, it feels believable enough. [h2]What is My [b]Ex Sister in Law[/b]?[/h2] [b]My Ex Sister in Law[/b] is a fluff romance h-ish visual novel (more on this later). It was fine, taking ~50 minutes to do both endings. You can save on the options screen to try either ending. Only one of the two options results in either one of the, well, two endings: the [i]normal[/i] ending and the [i]true[/i] ending. Truth be told the visual novel left much to be desired. [h3]The characters[/h3] If you're familiar with fluff romance type anime/manga/media, then you'll have a rough idea of what the characters are like. If you want a basic rundown of the characters: the male lead had a crush on the female lead for many years and is a h*rny plank of pulp paper who (I assume) is intended as a self-insert, while the female lead is the "kawaii/'grownup-yet-klutzy' onee-san"-type character. [h3]The...transitions[/h3] If you ever used Windows movie maker, you'll get a rough idea of what the transitions are like lol. They're different every time and are very strange (like the squiggles one). While it's a little short and the game play aspect consists of roughly two choices, It has some nice artwork and is voice acted by the ever wonderful DTL, just don't expect fully nude scenes. Recommended if you have some spare change on hand and half an hour or so to kill.

[h1] My Ex Sister in Law talks in asmr [/h1] The story is quite short, and it’s nothing but full of wholesome moments. After a nature disaster destroyed your home, you feel like as if everything you had is gone and nothing matter anymore. While you're at your lowest, you see a smile like a bright light of hope coming from someone you know, it was your ex sister in law. The next thing you know is now you're living with your in law until you can get back on your feet again. And the more you spend time with her the more you realized how much you guys are a perfect match for each other, as if the divorce of your brother and the lost of your home is actually a fate that bring two lost souls together. I really like the art style and the UI, it have that old school anime visual novel vibe to it. The sister character design is beautiful and charming. And there're a couple of scene panels that are really beautiful in artistic term, they did a really good jobs in setting the tone and give a beautiful message.
