About Myrmidon
Myrmidon is a co-op puzzle-platformer inspired by stop-motion animated films. You and your teammate take on the roles of a seasoned animator and his new puppet in an adventure full of wonders.What do you prefer: pulling off daring acrobatics under the spotlight, or pulling the strings of an imaginary world from behind the scenes?
NOTE: This game is co-op only : it requires both players to have an internet connection. Myrmidon does not include any in-game chat features : it is heavily recommended to use an external voice chat software.
Explore the world through two unique perspectives
- THE ANIMATOR moves around the miniature sets of their studio in first-person view. They manipulate the set pieces to clear a path for the puppet.
- THE PUPPET traverses the imaginary world inspired by the sets in third-person view. It performs the acrobatic sequences set up by its creator."

The game has a lot of potential. It just need some polish. Playing as the puppet his animations are lagy making some parts hard to do. I see the vison only thing holding back is performance. Great visuals the game play is simple yet fun but that gets overlooked with some of the camra angles and the puppet's animations not matching where you are. Still had fun.2 found this helpful
Since this game is demo, I'm sure there have been tons of changes and updates in the works but for now these are my comments. I find the concept of this game and the characters really cool! I like how you physically see two different perspectives depending on what character you choose. However, something I noticed was that if you want to change characters you'd have to fully reset the game and rehost it. I think implementing a level selector could help with players wanting to either change characters or replay a specific section. These 'levels' could load to be where the 'puppet' would last respawn or at the start of every new 'island'. This game has huge potential in my eyes. I hope that in the final version of this game that there is a more fleshed out story between the 'puppet' and the 'animator' along with a way to fix the lag.1 found this helpful
Honestly, its not that bad of a concept (once you got through all the lag). The animation and the looks of it looks great, but its just the lag of everything. I feel that if you were able to put all these levels into different rooms it will make the game less heavy so more people are able to load it in and so the puppet's character will actually jump when you want it to jump. Maybe once the puppet gets though an area, that area's mechanics will stop working in the background. I also feel that the puppet gets to see everything and the Animator doesnt really get much. Its more fun to play as the puppet rather than the Animator, so I wish to see more things for the animator. Also, sometimes the bridge wouldnt go up or down how I want it so I would have to walk around the whole table and we also got softlocked a few times because the light would not move at all. Other than that, everything is great, its just so laggy.1 found this helpful
Dont even let me play the game bc the one who joins crashes or gets put back in the main menu. Also i want insane from the sound track
