Mysteries of the Undead

This is a basic puzzle PnC with Hogs. The cut scenes and story are atmospheric - and the game's name is pretty self explanatory. Really good game for beginners, tho look out for some of the cursor positioning, where you have to be really accurate activating items. As for the Hogs, the art is such that it took me a while to find a few well placed items - making an interesting journey for Hidden Object Lovers - especially if you like the interactive items within the search. *One Hog it asks you to look for a Hunter.... I clicked EVERYWHERE and it turned out it was the number '2' - so game bug there. The map is easy to navigate, showing where there is available game-play and instant travel. No Achievements, although I find that can help enjoy the immersive experience, instead of wondering if you forgot to search an area for collectables, or having to replay to complete the set. This game only took a few hours for me to play and is on the basic end, skill-wise in its genre. Being quick, its a nice gentle brain work-out. Would recommend it on sale.

If you can get past the game's spurts of Roberta Williams logic, then this is a fun little puzzle game.

I must say its one of the few zombie games that are extremely quiet and unspectacular. There are pretty much no sounds and the HOS are "special" in their own way. The words are sometimes more a reference to a group or a certain part of the item. Still not bad, defenetaly something else and a nice change to the other HIOs. Its too pricey though, especially if you consider that the game is a rather "cheap" HIO. I would by it on a good sale. I can still highly recommend it

It was a very enjoyable game. I just wish the hidden object wouldn't be so tough with the clicks, and it would actually be an object named what it was and not something completely different. ie. a belt was named a band

Unfortunately this particular HOG experience is a nightmare. I usually never use the hint button and always try to not miss-click inn hog scenes. This game makes it impossible as it suffers from a multitude of technical issues such as having interactive parts in hog scenes but the mouse pointer not reacting to objects that can be manipulated. This results in aimless clicking all over the scene in hopes of opening something. Having the hog items clickable area in worst cases be only a few pixels wide again resulting in several dozen clicks before the game actually pick the item up. Weird object naming which in cases assumably can be something lost in translation such as roller skates being "rollers" which is still somehow understandable but then ranging to very outlandish interpretations such as a trumpet being "pipe" to completely irrational ones such as a number 2 being "hunter" and an umbrella being "cup" ... It makes no sense at all. On the technical side, apart from HOG scene issues, I've had to skip one puzzle as there just was no apparent solution, the mechanics seemed broken. Most of the graphics are OK for an older game's standers and story line if fine, but HO is terrible. No indications where you can find objects that are blue (no pointer changes, or glimmer), items hard to see, many mislabeled items. Devs could have fixed this long time ago and put out a fixed version or a patch, but no one did anything about it. No voice overs and "music" is quite annoying. Stay away from this game and before you buy an other game from this developer find a free demo of the game so you don't buy an other badly made game like this again.
