Myth Or Reality: Snowbound Secrets Collector's Edition

This game locks the good ending behind DLC, meaning that when you buy this game, you are buying an incomplete game. If they wanted to do this proper, they would have included the good ending in the game itself, and increased the base price if they really felt the game was so worth it. Instead, they decided to go the route of playing tricks and mind games on their customers. Absolutely unreasonable, absolutely scummy practice. Don't bother buying this.

I actually played through this game twice because I thought I had made a mistake. Come to find out you have to p2w to get the full game. That's bs.

This is a difficult one to review, a lot weights on both recommendation choices. Story and character wise this game is one of my favorites. We get so many fantasy creature HOGs but when has one ever dedicated itself to Bigfoot? Loved getting to interact with the Bigfoots AND talk to them! There was a lot of character interactions through the story with good cut scenes. I had a great time playing along with the story and the bonus story was pretty decent, would love to see another Bigfoot game in the future. This is also one of the first Domini games I’ve encountered with Steam achievements which was cool and not outrageously difficult to achieve most. I find it absolutely wild that a collector’s edition game has a DLC you need to buy to get the full features of the story. I liked the content of the DLC but it should be already included with the game for the price. Secondly the puzzles in this game sucked so much, half were decent but the other half were no fun and frustrating along with some real bare directions.

this game is a bit of a hot mess. its called myth or reality? which makes you think its gonna be a mystery if the bigfoots are real or not. but nah. they answer that question almost right at the start. the puzzles are all over the place. some are brain dead easy and some are annoyingly frustrating. even some of the hidden object puzzles get you. you have some where you have to find the object but also some of the objects are incomplete. so you have to complete them before you can "find" them. and then they randomly throw in ones where you arent picking up the hidden objects but placing them on the shelves. and they dont tell you this. so you sit there clicking over and over like why cant i pick this up. the story is honestly boring. incredibly so. i bought the dlc since it was cheap and the game itself was only $1. so $4 for the base game and the dlc and im only 4.4hrs in and i have zero interest in finishing it.

Not a bad game I like anything to do with cryptids

The puzzles in the game are boring and even silly and out of place. The story itself is also stupid. The game is visually pleasing, but by the end of the game, it starts to annoy you.
