After winning a mission, you get buffs for your next mission but there is also a sandbox mode if you prefer (custom game). - While you are learning the game put the environment on relaxing before starting a mission. - Start by building all the basic buildings (ore mine, residential area, forge, training hall) - Train battle units and explore the map and kill the enemies (conquer the map). - While your soldiers are exploring the map, look at level objectives (parchemin) and do the actions need to do the objectives. Most useful function: The left mouse button allows you to select a building or units. Keep it pressed for selection rectangle for multiple units. CTRL + Number allows you to save selection of a unit, building and army. Use the Number afterwards to select it again. Escape or "P" key opens the settings menu during gameplay and pauses the game. game literally glues you to the screen, and at some point, it’s like, “Whoa, man. Boring strategy games are a thing of the past… Just dive into this chaos we’ve brought some whiskey and plenty of humor. Try not to laugh too loudly, or your relatives will think you crazy.” MaL is probably designed for inexperienced newcomers to the genre as well but seasoned connoisseurs will appreciate this subtle in-game humor the most which is often on the edge or close to it.... 8/10! Right on target!!!!

super chill semi-idle strategy. building trade routes, doing diplomacy, and breeding giant beasts is a wild but fun combo. maps are procedurally generated so every run feels fresh. the humor keeps the ancient history stuff from getting boring. solid time killer if you just want to relax and raid some neighbors.

It's a solid strategy game. Everything feels well-made, it's a perfect chill way to kill time, super addictive, and the story pulls you in nicely. What really hooks me is how you just sit back watching ships roll in with new folks and goodies, while your giant mythical beasts casually stomp the next island over. Every new map feels fresh thanks to the procedural generation, and the humor in all the events and descriptions is spot-on-it's not some serious epic, just fun ancient-world banter that fits the relaxed vibe perfectly. Before I know it, a quick session turns into "one more island" for hours.

A pretty good 3D strategy game. I liked how everything was thought out down to the last detail, and even when night falls, the lights turn on in the settlements. The game controls are intuitive, which is a big plus for strategy games.
