ENDLESS Legend™ 2

Beautiful graphics and artwork! mechanics took the great things from humankind and merged with EL1. fantastic fusion to create a very unique experience.

If you can look past the price being quite steep (though still better than similar offerings, nowadays), Endless Legend 2 has been a very pretty, and very fun, 4X game so far. In terms of art direction, Endless Legend 2 is fantastic achievement. The cohesion, care, and work of it all superbly elevates the experience of the game. The world itself is gorgeous and temperamental, threatening to unveil new mysteries and beauties with notable frequency. You'd almost feel bad to build a city or, worse, an empire on the fact of it, were it not for the fact that the aesthetics and building designs of the game's factions are so intricate, considered, and inspired. The current 'hero' system feels great in terms of humanising (not a universally accurate term, mind) the character of your heroes; little barks when entering familiar territory and remarking on other things in the game is (in my opinion) exactly as present as it should be, and no more. It is wonderful for your hero to, sometimes, remark on it. Combat is contentious, and everyone will feel differently about it, but the current state of things has been satisfying to me, and I'm pleased to be actually wanted to manually play throug…

This game is beautiful, the dev team throughout the development has regularly interacted with and listened to community feedback. While the game itself shows clear signs of having learned from previous titles and improving upon what worked while still attempting new and refreshing mechanics.

On one hand, game doesn't feel like its "ready" for a full release. On the other hand, a lot of "complete" games have years of continued patches and expansions to flesh them out and improve mechanics. So far, each faction has its own mechanic and their own way to play the game. We just need more factions, and we'll have 3 more for the release. The Tidefall mechanic is probably the best seasonal event a 4X game could want, putting the pressure of early game exploration and expansion into the mid and late game as well. The art direction is great. It may not be thousands of hours of 4x gaming with this yet (unless you are a certain brazilian gamer) but it will offer you a fun time.

Endless legend 2 has taken a lot of the elements from Endless legend, included them and built on them. Which is refreshing where other developers are happy to remove core elements from older titles then add them back as DLC. It's a solid starting base for an EA game and I feel the time and feedback in EA has only helped the title. Like the original this sequel has the fun unique races, lore and gameplay features that make it an Amplitude game. Overall, a very promising start to a new Endless game with hopefully years of updates and support for it.
