A really nice HOG. it is definitely a highlight of Cateia Games' catalogue. Graphics and voice acting are very high quality and the story is serviceable. It reminded me of the old Artifex Mundi games. As usual with Cateia Games this game reuses some of the assets and puzzles from their other titles but it's not a major issue.5 found this helpful
Having played just about all of the Artifex Mundi games available on Steam, I was really hoping this would be a new option to fill my desire for a casual puzzle game. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend this game. While it follows the same basic elements of all hidden object games, there are quite a few issues that make this game frustrating instead of fun. All of the hidden object scenes only give you a certain number of objects at a time, and you can't find objects until they are on the list. In some cases, it literally only gives you 1 object at a time. Combine this with re-using the same hidden object scenes several times each, and they get dull. When you have a hidden object scene that is obscured, and you have to rapidly click to clear the fog, only for it to return before you even have a chance to look the scene over adds nothing fun to the game. Its quite the opposite really. Many of the minigames are frustrating instead of fun. Puzzles that have 1 exact solution, and if you accidentally twitch your hand at the wrong moment you have to reset and start over. Or worse, the 'follow along' puzzle where it shows you the puzzle and then swaps the objects to click on. …2 found this helpful
Really love this game and the game play. The voice of the young girl would be ONLY critique. Great Hidden object game I give it a 2 thumbs up.1 found this helpful
Decent HOPA game. The story, graphics, music and atmosphere were good. But at the end it gets shorter and shorter. The puzzle with boxes was pure sadism. What I disliked is that there's no interactions with characters after being done with kingdom. They could've
say goodbye to Meredith after getting books or acknowledge that she's the reason why kingdoms are in such poor state. Writers brought this up a few times, but it didn't mattered in the overall story. Also it was a little weird that the Wizard allowed Meredith to go for healing potion.
6.5/10. Worth playing if you enjoy other games in this genre!1 found this helpful
The interface and interactions points are sometimes annoying. The map action marker is sometimes imprecise or missing. Some puzzles are very difficult with imprecise explanation. Anyway the game is engaging, with a nice story and VA.1 found this helpful
