✦ AI summary
Players praise Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake for offering an engaging mystery with creative puzzles and a memorable, atmospheric opening that sets it apart in the Nancy Drew series, though some find it creepy enough to concern younger players. The game delivers solid entertainment with good pacing and nostalgic appeal, though most consider it solid middle-of-the-pack fare rather than exceptional, with puzzles that benefit from note-taking but aren't overly difficult.
I enjoyed it! It's a pretty simple and straight forward one. I wouldn't say it's in the "best of the best" grouping of games, but it was still good. Middle of the pack probably for me.
Nancy Drew always has a good mystery to solve and the games are interesting and puzzles to solve throughout the game play.
Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is a great early entry in the Nancy Drew series, and a very memorable entry in the series as well. The very start of the game will leave an impression and stick in your mind as being a unique and kind of scary start to the game. I found most of the puzzles to be fun and rather creative. Most were not hard to do, but I suggest keeping a notebook to write down notes for puzzles to make life easier. I was able to finish this game in about 4 hours. If you have younger players playing the game I will say that the start of the game is creepy enough that it might scare younger players, so if you have a younger player playing this who gets scared easy the intro to the game might be a bit much for them. All in all a fun little mystery that I think is worth checking out.
Not only was this a great childhood memory ride, it was also just a great normal ND game as well.
Not going to lie, the first night as Nancy was terrifying, so I was worried how this game would go. But it was fun! Lots of mazes and reading about history, so I enjoyed that aspect. Tracking down the different details about the dogs and figuring out how to use the clues were sometimes a puzzle, but I definitely got lucky in the tunnels and finding my way around. I loved when Bess and George told Nancy to "wake up and smell the hostile vibes." I'm definitely going to find a way to use that quote.
Fun! seems to run on pc just fine
