STORY

"NanoWar: Cells VS Virus" is, despite the flowery store description that you should not be mislead by, a ripoff of Galcon (copyright Phil Hassey, 1995). Often lazy mobile devs with steal the intellectual property and copyrighted game mechanics from real developers for profit, but I guess they forgot that part (or intend to add monetisation later if their infringing game goes viral). And if you don't believe me about game mechanics being covered by copyright, ask Xio Interactive what they think after Tetris Holdings LLC ripped them a new one in court for making a Tetris ripoff. In case you're not familiar with Galcon, it's a frequently ripped off game concept where you and the AI fight over a mesh of nodes. Each node produces "troops" represented by a single number. You send your troops between nodes, and whichever numbers are highest determines who controls the nodes. A simple and quickly shallow and repetitive game concept. You can see why mobile devs love to steal the concept from Phil so much. To date, Phil Hassey hasn't take any legal action against this copyright infringment, but it's never off the cards. A Incomplete copy of an old flash game.Only worse.
I don't want to sound too harsh because it's a free game, and a good one, but some levels getting all the stars was more frustrating then on the other because it forced me to a strategy I didn't like. Out of spite I tried if I could end getting no stars at all. When I finished the level with no stars I had to alt f4 because there were no retry, continue, exit, nothing.
A very good revival from similar good old flash games like Phage Wars, nobody was making these kind of games and I think it has high potential like any arcade game, would be greater if had a PVP mode too. It's only turndown are their small assets that get kinda pixelated on high resolutions so I don't recommend to play it on fullscreen, also I think it's not much a fullscreen kind of game anyways.
Conquest / strategy game with a simple concept made into something very fun, yet challenging for some levels !
