Ne no Kami is a romantic Japanese yuri visual novel adventure. A unique feature in Ne no Kami is the use of videos to illustrate battles and action, dynamically changing the pace and tension.
~At dawn, the moonlight illuminates the old capital enveloped in fog. Guided by fate, bound by their thoughts, the maidens dance. Amid a spiral of despair, the beloved princess and her guardian knight overcome their fear. Gazing up at the dawn sky, the princess of the earth gently averts her eyes. Descended from the heavens, bearing her dreams. Scooping up the ripples from the water's surface. The princess of the sun gazes, and contemplates. Light dwelling in their cerulean eyes, and with a will that can break down the wall of fate.
The dancing maidens of the old capital become the princess knights.~
A large earthquake rocks Kyoto at its core, unsettling the balance of the world. Through television and radio, news of absurd behaviors and emergence of cults became frequent, and demons sightings were reported all throughout Japan. But with the passage of time, society's belief in the supernatural was fading and the people's interest would eventually return to the mundane, regular life. The demons were no longer seen, and the world has become "peaceful" at the surface. Not long thereafter, the events of the earthquake were all but forgotten. Len has been living her entire life as a regular high school student. But suddenly, she is reunited with Shinonome, her childhood friend from long ago, and receives the ominous message-
“Len, you are going to abandon this town... and die—today”
Since her reunion with Shinonome, Len's life is thrust into an all new “reality,” and the curtain which hid the “truth” of this new world is been lifted. Len and Shinonome must tempt fate and face a world in which reality is all but blurred, as the truth of this world comes to light.

Ne no Kami - is a old novel, and by being old it incorporates all aspects of that : Art, character design, backgrounds , setting, and even story and lore. Is this game good ? - its decent , not bad but it certainly has flaws. And those flaws are not art or technical aspects (tho they have some quirks) , its the story itself, but more about that later. 1. Technical side. This is an 10 years old game so dont expect it to run very well, it wont have resolution more than HD, also this game struggles with fullscreen mode if u have multiple monitors and of you will try to run it on second or like in my case third monitor, game window will just completely disappear or launch full screen on main monitor set in windows settings. do someone cares about that in 10 year old game ?- no , all other aspects are very well made and run perfectly. 2. Art. Art here is decent . it has that style and vibe of old anime with over exaggerated proportions, its still cute and perfectly fits atmosphere. there are not so many CGs however average dialogues are very well made and have animations and facial expression changes. art here is 10/10 3 Audio. A kinetic novel in which battles where sprites fly across the screen going 'hyaah!' above textual descriptions of their intricate and exciting attacks, but that all takes second place to passionate romantic drama between super-clingy lesbians constantly threatened with the traditional tragic fate. The plot has enough mystery and ominous development to hold interest, the voice acting and music are very lively. Some more CGs, especially a look at Uzume and Len's childhood, would have been nice. The much talked-of background in Japanese mythology is intricate but fairly messy; the plot isn't mythically dramatic and meaningful but squarely rooted in the conventions of kinetic novels, where contrived plot twists are redeemed by solid romance. The pseudo-Creationist argument given at one point that the Japanese gods may have created humanity along with deliberately falsified fossil evidence of evolution over millions of years (an argument real Christian fundamentalists actually make) was very daft. Still, romance both cute and silly, passionate and dramatic, makes this game worth buying along with the 18+ patch.
solid VN. nothing too ground breaking, but a decent read.
Decent game. Cute characters. English translation sucked. All the ♥♥♥ proper nouns went over my head. 👍️
