An Orcus Research Cartel station orbiting a deep space magnetar has gone rogue. The operating system has killed the crew and turned them into thanatoids, half dead monsters with a lust for murder. And if that's not bad enough, the corporate A.I. back at Earth System has triggered the station's self destruct sequence. Your only chance is to fight your way through an army of weaponized undead and find an escape pod, before time runs out or the thanatoids overwhelm you.
10,000 levels of chaotic science fiction horror that rise inexorably in difficulty. Choose which maps you play, in any order, from the dead easy beginning sectors to the certain death end sectors. Take on extra challenges for big rewards, and use those rewards to buy new weapons and survival skills. The maps start small and painless, but sector by sector the challenge mercilessly ramps up, until at some point they become practically impossible. Where that point is depends on your skill.
Find the escape pods to complete the game, or just keep going and see how far you can get. Rise up on the leaderboards.

Necro Mutex is a free to play VR shooter game that has long playability. Worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Says it with work with Oculus Rift and WMR systems. Had 38 steam achievements. Get this free game now.4 found this helpful
Игра Necro Mutex - это мрачное и захватывающее погружение в мир киберпанка, зараженного некромантией. Сеттинг отлично проработан, и атмосфера отчаяния и безнадежности чувствуется в каждом пикселе. Боевая система, хотя и может показаться на первый взгляд немного сложной, со временем раскрывается и предлагает множество тактических возможностей. Управление ресурсами, грамотное использование способностей и выбор правильных улучшений для персонажей - залог выживания. Визуальный стиль нарочито грубый, но благодаря этому игра обладает уникальным шармом. Саундтрек прекрасно дополняет общее впечатление, создавая тягучую и тревожную атмосферу. Сюжет не блещет оригинальностью, но подан достаточно интересно, чтобы мотивировать игрока двигаться дальше. Единственным недостатком можно назвать некоторую затянутость ближе к концу игры, однако это не сильно портит общее впечатление. Necro Mutex - крепкий инди-проект, который определенно заслуживает внимания любителей киберпанка и RPG, ценящих глубину и атмосферу. Рекомендую!1 found this helpful

Really fun game I first played it in Vr which was amazing I thought the game was a bit repetitive but after I thought that I found new types of enemies which brought me back into the game Shooting stuff is fun1 found this helpful
I appreciate what this game tries to do, and the optional vr is pretty cool too, but man oh man did it seriously need more work before release.
