A sneak peak into Nevrosa world that brings new gameplay mechanics to VR games:
- Redirect walking — we don't use teleport or any other locomotion system. You'll have to do it on your own but don't go beyond your chaperone! You can get on youtube!
- No jumpscares.
- You just take things with your hands and only one button is used — press a trigger on your controller to interact.
- Oh and you can die. And probably will.

"Nevrosa: Prelude" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Nevrosa: Primal Ritual". Nevrosa: Primal Ritual is a mediocre Russian VR tech demo with almost certainly flipped assets, weak gameplay... and that product was, unsurprisingly, a complete and utter failure as the developers cash grab ultimately failed. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Nevrosa: Primal Ritual, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Nevrosa: Prelude" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $20 USD on buying Nevrosa: Primal Ritual, and I don't recommend you do that either. This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, …1 found this helpful
The roomscale movement is pretty rough (at least for my playarea - long thin rectangle) and you can see why basically no modern VR games do things that way. Still, This demo is so well done. The puzzles are clever and there are many creepy moments (getting that key bro...). Very well done, especially for an early VR game. I'm likely going to buy the full game at some point, I just hope the roomscale aspect doesn't make it impossible for me to finish in my playarea.

Nice experience, short but impressive. It's free just give it a try. (no Teleport Locomotion - only roomscale but very little space needed)
