But you will soon discover that the city's beauty runs only skin-deep and all you find is rot beneath the golden facade.
Dark smoke from the factories chokes the skies, segregation, inequality, and corruption run rampant. You will have to rise from the very bottom, make tough decisions, and get your hands dirty if you are to succeed - and you must, no matter the cost!
Craft technopunk gear or master the arcane arts, fight, steal or smooth-talk your way to the top and become the hero or villain you want to be. You will not have to face the trials of this world alone, however; find your companions and gather your party, make foes and allies, fall in love, get involved in a massive conspiracy, and change the course of history forever.

Hi, So...in case anyone wants to know. This game is hot a$$ garbage. I know I know, harsh news. However, it is the way it is. No updates in like 9 months other than these lames dev notes. Failed project and feels like a rug pull. I bought this game back in December cause I thought the idea was cool. Guess shame on me. Do not buy it. It is terrible. Honestly I picked this up the moment I heard about it, since Arcanum is one of my favourite games. Unfortunately there hasn't been much movement/development over the last while - understandably with the situation in Ukraine *bites tongue from badmouthing a certain 'unfriendly neighbour to keep this PG*. I really hope that they'll be able to get this flushed out and built into what they came up with as it has a lot of potential - I hope they'll come up with bigger updates (or more transparent ones from the developers on what they're actually working on, or a road map). Something to watch if they come back and move forwards. Otherwise... can't do much than hope their families, friends and neighbours are unharmed. All the best from Canada6 found this helpful

I bought New Arc Line because I genuinely liked the concept and wanted to support the developers through Early Access. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. There have been no meaningful updates for a very long time, and communication has been extremely poor. If you ask people to pay for an Early Access game, you also have a responsibility to keep your customers informed. Posting the occasional "we're still working on it" message without showing tangible progress, an updated roadmap, or clearly explaining what's happening is simply not enough. After more than a year, it's only natural for customers to lose confidence. I don't know whether the project ran into serious difficulties, whether development effectively stopped, or whether there are circumstances we don't know about. But as a customer, the outcome is the same: I spent money on a game that now feels abandoned. Until the developers demonstrate consistent progress and restore confidence with real updates, I cannot recommend buying New Arc Line. Some typical UE bugs but enjoyable. "Hopefully" development will continue.
