Nexus Legacy

I would recommend this game to people that enjoy browser games. Its better version of Ogame, IMO. There is no P2W, there are small benefits for buying sub but they are not impactful enough to be considered P2W. This game I being constantly updated, Dev is very responsive to feedback, I see a lot of potential for this game, but its not a game for people that want things now. My Lab 15 will take about a month to build... so yeah :D

Well, after more than 1,000 hours in this game, I think I have at least enough knowledge to write this review. The game started out being incredibly fun, but after countless bad decisions by the dev, hundreds and hundreds of communication issues, questionable decisions, server problems... the list of issues is so, so long that honestly, it’s not even worth the time I’d have to spend writing it all down. The Server 1 end event was bad — really bad. People literally won after sharing an account that had previously been banned from a completely different server. The end-of-game event has been even worse: terrible decisions from the dev, terrible balancing, terrible everything. It honestly makes me really sad, because this game had incredible potential, and the dev has completely killed it. The only good thing it still has nowadays is the community — talking to people, hanging out, and all that. But it’s definitely not worth, not even remotely, the insane amount of hours you need to invest if you actually want to accomplish anything, let alone climb very high in the rankings. Such a shame. I genuinely enjoyed this game a lot, but clearly, in its current state, it has become unbear…

waste of time

I enjoyed this game enough to put a lot of hours into it, and it’s an impressive effort for a part-time solo dev. Still, I wouldn’t recommend anyone play. + Developer listens to the community and frequently deploys features & fixes. I posted a bug and the dev deployed a fix within maybe a day + Accumulation of technology, fleet, and command vehicle random loot scratches a primal itch in my brain + Generally works well on anything with a browser, and you can have multiple windows open across different devices simultaneously +/- Being the attacker in PvP can be thrilling, but very time-consuming (usually 11-15 minute flight time, then 30 minutes for AI Scatter to finish, then wait 11-15 minutes for your fleet to return so you can return them to safety). It’s not fire-and-forget because you have to monitor for enemy counter-activity, send debris collectors, send the loot somewhere safe, etc. +/- Varied PvE activities, but some (asteroid mining, patrols) are much more reliably lucrative than others (wormholes, expeditions, ancient moons) so that many players ignore the less-lucrative ones. The player activity is just tedious clicking several times a day +/- Safe zone for those who do…

Really solid game that blends idle progression, 4X strategy, and an MMO space environment perfectly. If you enjoy building up your empire, managing long-term logistics, and interacting with a persistent online galaxy even when you're offline, it's definitely worth checking out.

I'm uninstalling because there's a lot of issues with the game, however I am giving this a positive review because to the dev's credit, he's actively working on improving the game and regularly gets player feedback through polls on which direction to take the game - and that deserves recognition. Web based/Browser game essentially, so don't expect anything flashy. I played a lot of a similar web browser game named 'Astro Empires', and this game is prettier than that, but this comes with a lot of bugs and quality of life issues. For example, you can't tell who is attacking your planets, nor can you find a way to defend them properly. There's also no real cooldown on how often they can attack you, so every time you login your bases have been pillaged, your fleets destroyed, and so you start rebuilding... only for the all to be destroyed again when you login. So unless you're playing *very* active style gameplay, the game's pointless really - hence me uninstalling.
