Played on a Steamdeck @MatureContent
This is a puzzle platformer made for very small children, my guess would be in the ages from 4-6. Almost all movements are automatic and all the player has to do is move obstacles out of the way to clear the path for the characters. You can't really lose or kill any characters, if something goes wrong, they usually just freeze in an animation loop till you cleared the path correctly. There are 6 different worlds, each with a different theme from Nick Jr. shows, like Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol. Each world has a small selection of levels within them that adds up together to a total of 72 levels. For an adult, this game can be completed quite fast, but for a 5 year old child it would take considerably longer and probably be a fine pickup that they can sink a lot of hours into. So why do I not recommend it? Pretty much the entire reason I can't get myself to recommend this game is that it is priced unreasonably high. They ask 40 bucks and when you look at this game design wise, it feels lazy and repetitive. Every level is built on the same structure with only a slight …8 found this helpful
I get i'm not the target audience, but the game came in a bundle and I wanted the achievements. Anyway It wasn't bad at first (with the target audience in mind) but the paw patrol levels were glitched so much that I dont think there was any testing done on it. Had to keep restarting levels because the elevators were stuck. Sometimes the firetruck wasn't as responsive either on those levels.7 found this helpful
A very easy and quick 100%. The achievements are simple and mostly tied to just finishing the levels and basic activities. Not challenging at all, but a smooth completion if you’re just cleaning up achievements and adding another 100% to the list.4 found this helpful
Nick Jr. Party Adventure, developed by Melbot Studios and published by Outright Games, is a colorful and family-friendly platformer that caters to young players while providing a lighthearted, engaging experience. Released in late 2024, the game brings together beloved characters from popular Nick Jr. shows such as Dora the Explorer, PAW Patrol, Blue’s Clues & You, and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Its central premise revolves around helping Dora organize a grand fiesta, guiding players through a series of vibrant worlds filled with puzzles, collectibles, and interactive challenges designed to entertain and educate at the same time. The gameplay in Nick Jr. Party Adventure is intuitive and accessible, emphasizing exploration and problem-solving over complex mechanics. Players traverse six distinct worlds, each themed after a different Nick Jr. series, with 12 levels per world to explore. Movement is straightforward, allowing children to navigate characters along preset paths while interacting with environmental elements such as levers, springs, and movable platforms. These mechanics encourage logical thinking and experimentation, with minimal frustration thanks to forgiving chec…
100% Achievement Review - I can best describe this game as 'No-Consequence Lemmings for Kids'. I grew up on Nickelodeon, but I'm afraid I'm much too old for these IPs. I never had kids myself, so can't review it from a parents perspective either, I just got these games in a bundle full of other games. Dora the Explorer and Blue's Clues first aired when I was a kid, that tells you how old I am. These are newer 3D variations of those characters, plus Paw Patrol which I know about but never watched. The other 3 IPs I have no idea what they are even called. It was Monster Trucks that were kinda like Pixar's Cars franchise, a Hispanic Pirate named Santiago, and a Mermaid that seems to live in Bikini Bottom from Spongebob (At least from what I can tell). As for gameplay, its a pretty simple loop. The characters walk forward on their own, and you have to manipulate the environment to get them to the end goal, hence the Lemmings comparison. There are 3 objects on each level to collect by sending the characters on multiple routes, 12 levels per world. There's also a robust character creator to make your character, and you unlock outfits and accessories to customize your character. Its…
