About Nightvision: Drive Forever

Drive Forever

Nightvision is a "road-lite" night-driving simulation with randomly generated levels. You must go fast, that much is clear, but why? And how fast is too fast?

With intense highway driving, a story mode that gradually ramps up the difficulty, and a fresh world and road to master each time you get behind the wheel, Nightvision will have you in a cold sweat as you anticipate the next curve about to come into your headlights.
  • Realistic seat-of-your-pants racing featuring the challenge of limited visibility; is that a sheer mountain pass lurking in the darkness, or a switchback on the edge of a cliff?
  • Randomly generated terrain. Never the same drive twice.
  • Lost desert highways engineered by RoadGen™ artificial intelligence in real-time carve through the random hillsides.
  • Engaging story integrated seamlessly without long cut-scenes taking away from the action.
  • Sandbox mode: to practice, hand-craft unique challenges, or leave up to the RNG gods.
  • One BILLION world seeds, four different RoadGen™ algorithms, and over a dozen road and world settings, offer >10 QUINTILLION levels. Play 'em all!
  • Share your favorite level passphrases with your friends and dare them to make it as fast or as far. Or just repeat your favorites and try for better times.
  • Literal Endless mode to test your endurance or just enjoy a relaxing drive.
  • Spectacular crashes! Die over and over and love every minute. Wincing has never been so much fun.
  • No map. No memorizing the "track". No getting bored.
  • Unlockable, game-changing secret modes hearken back to the history of driving games and give a fresh visual take on the gameplay you love.
  • Gripping original soundtrack that mirrors the tension of the drive.
  • Experience the thrill (and fear) of what lies in the darkness ahead.
What's makes Nightvision the Rogue-of-the-Road? There isn't Permadeath in the traditional Rogue sense. Instead, if you crash or don't go fast enough, you'll restart the same chapter but the level will be completely random within the same road and world characteristics. So you can't memorize a track, and instead have to rely purely on skill and technique... and maybe a little bit of luck.

You'll need to maintain your speed and your wits or you'll never make it...
But make it where?

It's light versus dark.
It's risk versus reward.
It's life or death.
Whatever happens, you have to see the night through

Im not sure what to say about this... The idea is great the execution not so much. -The car handling: so i have driven about 400k km in my life and i do know this is a game, but this car feels more like a boat on the road. Everytime you steer the boot of the car is just swiping all over the road which would not be the problem if the car would feel powerful enough to drift. But it barely feels powerful to me. -The highbeams: i dont get why the dev decided that the highbeam button needs to be held all the time when you want to have highbeam, i would make it switch on and off like a real car. Also the other cars are always blinking with their highbeams when you got yours on. No problem there right? Well. They are behind the ground and you can see cars behind the next corner already flash their highbeams even if they can not see you and you can not see their car. That killed the immersion for me. -The menu: if you go to settings and close the menu again the settings menu stays open, so go back in the menu and press "done" to close this first and then go back to the game. Generally i dont get the Menu, i would rather like concrete and specific text what the button is doing, sure you …

Tips for people wanting to buy this game: - FOV Slider all the way right - Steering slider all the way left, steering is a bit wonky even on lowest - Car is made of carton, slam door to hard? Crash Notes for the owner of the car: - Fix shocks, very bumpy - DON'T tell cops about how your tank does not go to E, might get sued - DO tell me where you bought this fuel

this was by far the most difficult driving game i have ever played, and i absolutely love it! Yes its difficult Yes you WILL crash... wheather by speed, traffic, or just really bad road design that ends you off into a catus... Yes it will provide endless fun for hours! don't get angry over losing, its going to happen ALOT, but when you make it, its going to give that euphoria feeling when you do

How do people even drive a car?

This is a very immersive experience, I think the devs did a good job of making the driving intuitive (arcade-y, but intuitive nonetheless), and matching the music to the vibe of blasting down curvy roads at night. Make sure you have access to a controller for this game though, it's difficult without one.
