If all of what Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle was planned to be was in a single game, I might enjoy it. I think the episodic publishing format kills it, to some extent. Long story short, there is an excess of plot hooks without a lot of... resolution? Plot eyes? Conclusion? Indeed, the plot hooks in cases 1-3 got to me, which is why I bought this. I wanted to see if anything came of them, and the answer is.... No. Things were added to the plot hooks we already had, but it didn't feel like it built intrigue, just like even more things to make you go "oooo well I have to stick around to see what will happen next". If this wasn't being published episodically, I'd have hope that there would be some kind of conclusion planned and in store, but as of right now, I have no faith that anything will be resolved. This case contains its own minigame, like the card battles or rostro racers minigames in the previous cases, and it's by far the worst. Its a beat em up, in an engine that is very much not designed for beat em ups. I'm grateful that no achievements or progress is tied to the challenge mode, but I feared whenever a new beat em up stage would start. They're 2-4 minute diversions that are…7 found this helpful
If you like ace attorney type games you'll like these games. Play the first three games first though, the story is important though not vital I guess to enjoy this one.
good
Well at this point it doesn’t really matter if the games are good, I’m in it for the long haul. Just like the ace attorney games. Even The Ace Attorney Game That Must Not Be Named. Fortunately they are great and the very creative minigames continue to top the attorney game charts!
If you like Phoenix Wright, you'll love this game! Very much tbe dame mechanics and similarly wacky cast of characters. But this isn't just a Copycat game. It has its own lore, story, interesting dynamics between characters, and above all, interesting cases that make you feel smart when you solve them! It's incredibly well written and thought out. 10/10!
Another great chapter in the Nina Aquila world! I loved the exploration of magical girls for this chapter (adorable art wooo!). My two favorite moments were definitely
Dylan getting magical girl'd (literally)
and
the Fledge City magical girl army
. All the evidence and deductions felt logical and the final resolution was extremely cathartic! The new understanding of Nina's past and the hints of the deeper Anya story make me eager for the next chapter.
