Ninja Outbreak delivers a compelling mix of survival horror, science fiction, and retro-inspired action by transporting players to a Soviet research complex on the hostile surface of Venus. Instead of portraying an elite soldier capable of overwhelming every threat, the game casts players as a scientist trapped inside a facility where a disastrous experiment has transformed its occupants into deadly creatures known as Ninja. This setup immediately creates a sense of vulnerability that shapes the entire experience. The unusual combination of Cold War themes, futuristic technology, and horror elements gives the adventure a distinctive personality, while the pixel-art presentation embraces classic gaming influences without feeling outdated. I had a delightful time with this one, an early entry in the Renegade Sector catalog.

AMAZING concept, flawed execution. The game is way too short (I beat it in a day) and you become all too aware you're playing a computer game (for every ninja heart you get, 1 additional golden ghost ninja chases you, etc.).

A tricky Zelda-esque retro game. Nothing wrong with it. But honestly i wouldn´t spend 9,75 Euro for it. Wait for a sale
