As you can see by the atrocious amount of hours I spent on this game, I really love this game. Let me tell you why: - It is, quite literally, my childhood game. If you have been looking for a Ninja Saga experience to relive, this is the game for you. If you are a total newbie looking for something interesting to play, this may be something to look into. - Going back to my childhood game bit, this is exactly the kind of graphics I was looking for. Yes it's very quintessential flash-looking and all, but this is the graphics I fell in love with. - The community and the developers are active and helpful. Never in my original NS career did I have someone volunteer their accounts for the sake of offering help for exams, Hunting House, or Eudemon Garden. I never even won the most highest level there in my original playthrough and yet here, in Ninja Rift, I do. Yes it's daunting to join a discord server or a facebook group, but once you get over that mental block, you'll find a generally helpful community - The sheer amount of TIME I saved in playing this game because of the above point. Ninja Rift is a free to play turn based ninja RPG that is much more focused on building a character than I expected. I create my own ninja, customise how they look, improve their skills and then use them in battles against other ninjas. The basic idea is pretty simple, but there are enough different systems around the combat to keep me checking what I can upgrade next. It feels more like a character building game with ninja battles attached to it than a traditional action game, which is fine because that is where most of the fun comes from. The combat is turn based, so I have time to think about what I want to do rather than having to react instantly. I can build up my character, learn different techniques and try to put together a setup that works well against what I am fighting. There is also a clan and crew system, which gives me something bigger to work towards than just improving my own character. I like this part because the game is clearly trying to make my ninja feel like a long term project rather than something I simply use for a few matches. Customisation is another strong point for me. Very fun game , brings memories of ninja saga of facebook which it kind of is but better. It is a bit pay to win like ninja saga but most of the stuff are better and the prices are not as bad. Ninja saga used to be a full rip off , costly and impossible to progress if free to play.
