Okay lil janky 3d platformer with satisfying movement and dumb AI enemies you can cheese. Worth on sale for an hour of chillax if you're into it.
Nova Jumper is a first-person platforming adventure developed and published by Paul DeAngelis that combines high-mobility traversal, arcade-style challenges, light combat mechanics, and cooperative multiplayer into a colorful and accessible experience. While its premise revolves around a seemingly simple mission to recover a lost sheep, the journey quickly evolves into a globe-spanning adventure across imaginative worlds filled with obstacles, enemies, and environmental challenges. The game embraces a straightforward design philosophy focused on movement, exploration, and fun, creating an experience that feels refreshing in its simplicity while still offering enough variety to remain engaging throughout its campaign. The story begins aboard a spaceship where the protagonist discovers that an important sheep has gone missing. nova jumper, a solid 11 out of 17. just go faster. and nova your jump.
"What think you? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them should go astray: doth he not leave the ninety-nine in the mountains, and go to seek that which is gone astray? And if it so be that he find it: Amen I say to you, he rejoiceth more for that, than for the ninety-nine that went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." St. Matthew 18:12-14 This wonderful game allegorically reveals the depths of the Lord's desire and love for every one of us, and the lengths He will go to find and save each one :) Also, speedrunners are sleeping on this game big time; Nova Jumper at GDQ would go crazy!!!! Wonderful gameplay, beautiful meaning, and delightful atmosphere 10/10!!!!!
Nova Jumper is the game of all time. I really relate to the main character and I think that, if he were real, he would smell like me and it wouldn't be weird. I think the developer deserves a lot of praise because it isn't easy to make a game that is fun while also being so rich and deep in meaning. It really makes you feel like you're Spider-Man.
In the first 5 minutes an enemy launched themselves mach 10 at me and I nearly browned myself. Great movement tech and level design. LOTS of ways to speedrun and optimize
