Observer: System Redux

Observer Redux is quite a ride. Let's start with how I experienced it: I played the original back when it came out and remember enjoying it, although most of the story went over my head. When I learned of the Redux I immediately wish listed it. Now that I played it I can say it a pretty flawed masterpiece. Why is it a masterpiece? Because the game world (a dark dystopian cyberpunk one), it so well designed that it lives and breathes. you can feel the oppression when you walk through the narrow halls of the tenement buildings. The artwork is sublime, in a prophetic way. It is very likely that this could be our future. You dont want this world to exist. Yet you play a (sort of) detective who works for the world's largest (evil) corporation. Still it is flawed on pretty much any other level. A few of them are voice acting (English). Main protagonist is Dutch pride Rutger Hauer, bless his soul, who gives by far the most outstanding performance. The rest is just very below par, especially the annoying kid and Amir, who is clearly of Arabic/Persian origin, but has a thick US dude accent). Some other character voices seem to change actor, as I couldn't recognise Rutger's sons voice a few …

Great Game. Art design, sound design were great. I had a good time. I think you'll like it.

I really like the concept, but the implementation is just bad. Story: The Story is extremley hard to understand, i dont know if reading all the thousands of texts will help, but just by playing the game its very hard to get. Ending: And the Ending (At least the one i got, i dont know if there are more) is the absolute worst and most depressing ending in my whole 20 years of gaming. Graphics: To add to this, the Graphics are absolute unbalanced and bad. Dark parts are too dark and bright parts are too bright, if i set the brightness to a level where i can see just enougth to move around in the game, everything is wayyyy too bright in scanner mode, its like getting flashbanged every time you use it. Misc: I also hate the scanner function that shows points and then disregards them when you look at them.

Bloober Team make masterpiece after masterpiece and this is one of them. I know its a remake but it feel fresh like a new game graphics are WOW in the remake. I played the original and this one so I know the difference and I like they don't just put graphics and fix some things and that's it nope, they even put new rooms, new content, new stories on apartment's. In general what I mean, this game worth to play but you need to play minimum 2 times, first time eh you don't understand too much but when you play again well then you will understand the whole game and the story become to shine. I have only 3 things that i hate. Unfortunately the game have new glitches where was not like in the basement where is a door where you enter and is that robotic fabric ok the door closes behind you and you need to use de computer to unlock it but guess what? The computer work, but the whole screen is white nothing you can see 0 you hear the pc work mouse on files but the monitor completely white and you are stuck there and you need to load a save from before you lose like 10 min. And when you come back to the room no need to enter you see clearly the monitor still white, so yea you cant do nothin…

Fantastic cyberpunk experience, criminally underrated title. Lynchian scenery.
