About Omega Agent

Strap into your very own nuclear-powered jetpack and blast into the skies of Omega Island, a volcanic sea enclave converted to a vast, intricate super-spy training facility. Soar high above its mountainous peaks for an eagle-eye view, or power dive into the underground base to get up close and physical. Test your piloting skills by weaving through the dense roads of the cityscape, or boost from rooftop to rooftop to find the quickest routes to success.

Omega Island is an aerial open world where the visceral freedom of a jetpack lets you achieve your goals, your way. Step by step, you too can rise through the ranks of the elite to graduate as the ultimate spy, the elusive ‘Omega Agent’.

Omega Agent is basically a tech demo kind of game, it's just there to showcase what VR can do when done wrong. The idea is compelling, a 1960's era James Bond ripoff with a jetpack, you do some micromissions like fly through rings and occasionally shoot stuff, all the while holding in your urge to puke because the developers never saw or used VR before so they didn't do the motion tracking and movement stuff right, but hey, who said you need to know anything about video games before you make and sell one? Steam Direct, thanks so bloody much. So yeah there's no reason anyone should buy this, and plenty of reasons not to, so let's go through some of those now. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game bei…

Great game, but pretty short. Really love Fireproof games. On sale $0.78 at time of purchase. ~4 hours for 100%, but mostly included finding secrets. Actual campaign was ~1.25 hours for all stars ~those complaining about motion sickness, there's a "show background dome mode", not sure if it helps. Had trouble launching. Got "not responding" every time launching from desktop Steam, or Steam VR home. Had to launch from Library instead of home in Steam VR. Runs well Windows 22H2 Rift S AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Critique: -low turning sensitivity, some sort of snap 180 button would be nice for enemies and missing targets, or an upgrade for quicker turning -would prefer a longer range for the secret detection beeps, and a more distinct sound for the boost depletion as I mixed them up often. -only 4 types of puzzles for the secrets, would've expected more because of the room series. -lock-on required for shotgun and rockets, would like to have long range without confirmed accuracy. -small map Overall 8/10. (10/10 for the price, and getting harder to find games for Rift S) love the design and layout, but map size could've been resolved by unlocking different…

(glad I have one, if NOT then?) 2016 - game graphics make you chuck! it`s sad that VR developers just dump their projects after "release", this definitely would worth Remastered.

Motion sickness is strong (at least with continuous turning), but the first 20 minutes of gameplay are still a great experience.
