TRANCE VR

Very much like Tribes.

Kudoos to the developer for a one man team the game is polished and really fun. Gives the feeling of being the hulk leaping through the city with the challange of contra. As a bonus developer has time trial modes that remind me of temple run on steroids. All and all for the price this game is a gem, what are you waiting for click that add to cart sign up there enjoy.

This is what I imagine it'd feel like to be on skis with a jetpack and a machine gun attached to my arm. It feels *awesome*, and the sense of speed is *very* real, especially when jumping slopes and racing through tunnels, and that sort of thing. I love the sense of momentum that builds up as you race across slopes, leaping into the air and blowing away everything in your path. That said, I certainly wouldn't complain if the dev added a little more clarity to in-game goals. I've figured out the glowing blue orbs gives you more time to stay alive, but I'm still not 100% sure what collecting the little red shards does, and sometimes feels a bit abrupt when you run out of time and just hear "You are dead. You are dead." repeated to let you know the round it over. IMO, it'd be better to have separate game-over reactions for 'ran out of time' vs. 'ran out of health.' It's not a big deal, but is something I imagine will be polished as the dev adds more content on top of this already *very* fun to play game. (I don't have a ton of time in logged in this game yet, but I *did* play the demo a ton before picking this up).

https://youtu.be/zcA_2gKESJM Trance VR is supposed to be a high octane, action packed shooter. It aims to be the "biggest and fastest VR experience available." Sadly, it doesn't do much for me. The levels themselves are bland and empty. The enemies are few and buggy. The purpose of the game eludes me and the game itself was just not entertaining from the start. That's a lot of harsh criticisms and I feel bad as I was given a free copy of the game to review. However I'm not one to give a glowing review for a free game code. As of writing this review the game is not listed as an Early Access title. it's being sold as a fully released game at $7.99. I wouldn't consider it worth half that and mechanically, it's on the lower end of EA titles as far as polish and function goes. There is a demo. I would recommend you try that if you're looking at the game and thinking it might be interesting. You can't go wrong with a free demo. Each person has their own tastes. Trance VR wasn't for me.
