Welcome to Borgo Marina, the perfect summer haven where sun-soaked days and sparkling nights promise the perfect getaway. You are Diana, an amateur writer looking for inspiration after the rejection of her most recent piece. But beware— an enigmatic thief is causing trouble, and it’s up to you to crack the case!

Investigation! Start!

The locals are plagued by the phantom thief. Engage with different villagers to receive quests and uncover their own unique storylines. And who knows, maybe you’ll discover key insights and clues into the case.

Uncover Clues

Time is your friend, detective. Use the magical device known as a chronolens to investigate crime scenes and view things how they were before the crime took place. Use this unique information to make your deductions and get to the bottom of the crime!

Recreate The Crime

Once you’ve gathered your clues, it’s time to get down to business. Utilizing a unique card system, you must uncover the correct series of events and reenact the crime scene! Watch the crime play out in real time with a diorama of the crime scene that reacts to the clue cards you play.

What’s a vacation without making some new friends? Borgo Marina is filled with locals who are looking to strike up a conversation, play some games, or even looking for something a little bit more than friendship?

The Cozy Life

Solving puzzling crimes isn’t all you’ll do! After all, you came for a vacation! Kick back and relax solo or with villagers in a variety of fun mini-games around town. The ending is so bad it kinda ruined the game for me NGL. I was loving it up until the last hour or so. Also very buggy, pop-up cards would just be white and the gelato shop never loaded comments. Especially at the end. I wasn't able to do any of the "post game" content because I kept getting locked into a cooking mini game that wouldn't take inputs from any control scheme and would just infinitely fail and reset me.

It has been a long time since I felt genuinely sad for a game to end. While there is detective work, the main focus is on discovering yourself and growing as a person with the help of the friends you make along the way. This game should be far more popular and I hope we get DLC or a sequel. If I could, I'd wipe my memory so I could experience it for the first time again.
Trigger Warning: Furries. This game contains anthropomorphic animal characters.
This is a furry centric mystery/VN game on the Nintendo Switch, and a poor console port indeed. Incredibly long, badly written and hard to skip VN scenes accompany the protagonist, a female rodent (edit: The developer wants us to believe their furry art is that of a goat.. I'm not judging, but it's not great art if you can't easily tell), on a journey through an Italian villa that turns into Frog Detective meets Stardew Valley, only worse than both. You'll do a bunch of trite and pointless minigames, many of which seem to be an imaginationless attempt from the developer to convince the audience this is a game instead of just a badly written furry fan-fiction. The plot follows said rodent through what starts out as a crime mystery then devolves into a poorly written fan-fiction about magic spells and the supernatural. Just when you were hoping for a charming slice of life, only with all the charm removed because it's a furry fan-fiction. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that m…

Overall I enjoyed my time with "On Your Tail", but there certainly were things working against that enjoyment. It has its share of bugs, with random issues popping up throughout the game. Examples include textboxes being cut off, collectible cards being blank, and occasional issues trying to interact with objects. The camera can also be hard to wrangle, and a big frustration for me was that after taking control away from the player with a cutscene, or after the player transitions into another space, the camera is often put in an odd place that hampers your initial movement. Not so bad if it happens rarely, but really annoying when it happens frequently. Don't even get me started on the camera when playing the marbles minigame. Ugh! Although the story takes a little turn for the absurd in the second half, I still enjoyed the process of going through it and figuring everything out. I liked spending time with the characters, and learning to navigate the twisty-turny streets of the town (though I do think there should have been a fast-travel that put you in the ball-park of the three main districts. Because the game is set in one small town there is a LOT of backtracking, and many wi…

I really wanted to like this game but I just couldn't. The music is absolutely fantastic and it looks great! Fishing, looking for constellations and taking pictures was fun too but that's about it.. There is simply too much running around from point A to point B just to go again to point A. In the end I gave up trying to make money just to buy things (to unlock outfits etc), increase the relationships and cook foods, which most of the times was a gruelling task and failed way too easily. I am sure people loved it but sadly it was not for me.
