Long ago, in old Ubhora, there was a tower similar to the very one recently sighted by Wes. One day, that tower had mysteriously disappeared - taking every home with it. Villagers often attributed this vanishing to The Cult, a group of wizards who wanted to control the world by summoning dark, unknown powers. Of course, this didn’t end up quite as they had planned.

Many years later, Lonesome Village was founded on the same ground, and people flocked from all over the world to live there. Everything was well for a while, until the people of Lonesome soon discovered that the village wanted to remain alone. But of course, that’s where you come in.

There’s so much to be done, let’s just hope The Cult doesn’t come back to stir up any trouble while you’re working…

An obvious attempt at a cross between Stardew and Tunic, although it lacks depth in certain elements to really be comparable. At times it feels like a very guided or even forced experience. You always have just a very limited set of paths to move forward with the game. The puzzles are mostly unoriginal and more for teenagers than adults looking for a cozy game. The crafting, item handling is clunky with controller. Cutscenes and conversations feel slow and repetitious. Animations like digging are slow which makes gardening tedious. Some misc things; when you make it rain, crops don't get watered so you're stuck in the same lengthy animation 20+ times. The watering animation has no water so you just see a watering can moving with sound. The music and art are nice but at the same time feel generic. So although I was enthusiastic at first, it didn't meet my expecations. Don't spend more than a few bucks on it.

Yeeeaaaah. I'm glad I only paid a few bucks for a key. It has that cheap mobile port feel to it (The UI even blatantly does that). Movement speed is too low, puzzles are - from what I've seen so far - not enjoyable. And everything takes longer than it needs to.

Absolutely adorable, cute and cozy game! It's refreshing to play a game which does not hand-hold you and does not have dark souls type of difficulty. It was also not too easy which is a problem with many cozy games nowadays.

Lonesome Village short game that is a more of a mashup of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Animal Crossing. There is no combat mechanics in the game and quite chill. Pros: A good relaxing game that focuses on puzzles Cute art style Cons: I had to constantly fix my audio because some sounds in the game is unaffected by the two sliders. If you have them turned way down, you might get jumpscared by the noise. Window's Volume mixer fixes this issue. The UI was clearly designed for a tablet such as the Nintendo Switch and Steamdeck. Plus that tone every time your cursor hovers over a button or icon. Other than some audio issues and its horrid UI implementation, it is a pretty fun adventure.

This is such a cute cozy game! It has just enough challenge to remain fun, but not so much that it makes me mad, lol. The controls are a little odd, but you get used to it.
