Awful controls, awful visuals, empty environments, awful physics. Needs lots of work to make it look like a real game.11 found this helpful

"Once A Stray" is a heartfelt survival game where you play as a stray dog navigating a harsh world. The realism in environment and character emotions shines through, offering a poignant journey of hope and resilience. While the gameplay is engaging, some repetitive tasks and minor bugs detract slightly. Still, it’s a powerful experience that leaves a lasting impression on its emotional core. A must-play for fans of narrative-driven games.
Roller coaster of emotions. Every time I look at my cat tears flow down my face
This game is honestly pretty incredible considering it was made in only 16 weeks. It has an original story, custom assets, voice-acting and four fully-developed levels! Auguen has a diverse move-set as well. Some of the mechanics were a little wonky, however; probably because there wasn't much time for play-testing. Auguen's long jump, in particular, was pretty unreliable. The boss fight also ended up being way harder than it should have been as it required a level of precision the controls didn't have. This is still worth checking out, though. There are some really cool ideas here and could make for a great full-fledged game. If interested, I go a lot more in depth with what does and doesn't work in my video series on this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PZHl_0zMWo
