One More Button is a remarkably inventive puzzle game that takes an everyday concept and transforms it into the centerpiece of an engaging mental challenge. Developed and published by Tommy Kjær, the game revolves around a brilliantly simple idea: what if the controls themselves became part of the puzzle? Rather than using movement buttons as invisible tools that exist outside the game world, One More Button places them directly inside the levels, turning every action into part of the challenge. This creative approach results in a puzzle experience that feels fresh, thoughtful, and consistently rewarding. Players assume the role of a small circular button navigating a colorful world built entirely around interactive controls. The objective sounds straightforward at first—reach the goal—but every stage quickly reveals layers of complexity hidden beneath the minimalist presentation. Arrow buttons are no longer static commands. Instead, they exist as physical objects that can be pushed, rotated, repositioned, and manipulated to alter how movement works. This unique mechanic fundamentally changes the way players think about navigation, forcing them to solve not only where to go but al…1 found this helpful
A solid little sokoban with interesting ideas. It got so open-ended at times I'm pretty sure I solved a couple unintended solutions. The shadow levels are a chore, though. Should have slotted them more toward the end game, as it looks like that's where most players dropped off, before the game got its best.1 found this helpful
pretty fun little sokoban with a premise i haven't seen before. worth it if on sale.
🔹 EXPECTATIONS: a sokoban game with unique mechanics. 🔹 REALITY: mainly a sokoban game that reflects its narrative on the gameplay. 🔶 One more button is (mainly) a sokoban game where the blocks that you push are also the controls of the character, including redo, undo and reset. You start being able to move in all 4 directions, but soon you'll miss at least one move button so you'll have to repurpose them. For example, if a box that has an "up" arrow is rotated clockwise, it will no longer allow you to move up, but right. It also introduces mechanics from other videogame genres, like sliding, multiagent control or stealth, but always keeping the base/core mechanic of having limited freedom of move. 🔸 This is a game where story and gameplay go hand in hand: these new mechanics are introduced by each narrative chapter, so the story is reflected in the gameplay; then, as a player, you'll have to overcome this new situation (mechanics) and lead the character onto the next chapter. 🔸 It has 70 levels for the main path, that are mostly medium difficulty, with not all levels required to reach the 1st ending. Yes, at some point the game has a (secret) branching path that's not expl…
One of the best puzzle games I have played. And possibly the best game I have played this year. It's interesting how much you can make with so little: cut scenes are simple, no complex animations, no voices, no texts, yet say so much! Music and ambient sounds fit well with the level themes. Puzzle ideas and game mechanics are timed and paced well and the entire concept of the game seems fully explored.
