About OPEN DOOR
Firstly, this game is about walking (looking for objects and revealing the plot as the game progresses, as well as solving puzzles).
Secondly, the scrimmers (yes they are present, but they are not so much)..
"This is my first indie horror project, the script and concept of which has been reworked several times, inspired by many classic games, drawing ideas from them. I'm not good at animations, but if many people like this project, I'll release the next game with better quality with all the cut scenes and full voice acting, in many languages." Spoiler - the game will be about summer camp.

The game has classic mechanics such as - solving puzzles, searching for items, combining some items with others and also searching for passages and keys.
The game also has stealth mechanics.
The plot unfolds inside a huge complex of the organization "BLACKDOOR", which uses people for biotechnical purposes, which is why people began to disappear inside the organization, these disappearances are accompanied by paranormal events in which the main character will have to figure out what happened and how he got to this place.

I got it cheap when bundled with pathogen x. It's not really the type of game I would play often, I prefer more faster action games but it killed a few hours and ran ok minus the usual unreal engine jank. Easy to 100%, terrible AI or at least AI sounding main character, luckily he doesn't say much.
This game has so much potential but most of the "puzzles" make absolutely 0 sense. I'm not sure if it's a translation issue cause some of the writing is bad as well, but I had to look up most of the answers. It says "bottom left, middle, and top" then you try it and its wrong. I gave up and didn't bother finishing.
This is a close call. Some mecanics are flawed, monster are buggy and cheap, story is weak, puzzles are ease or inconvenient, but scary atmosphere is there and if you want to get scared this game can work, but only if you can look past this problems. If you look for something more, you can easily skip this one.
OPEN DOOR is an unsettling and atmospheric first-person horror experience from BraveCat’Studios, built around the claustrophobia of confinement and the dread of being watched. From the moment you wake up inside the mysterious BLACKDOOR facility—alone, disoriented, and with no explanation for how you arrived—you’re thrust into a setting designed to constantly unsettle you. The game doesn’t waste time with lengthy introductions or exposition; instead, it lets the environment speak for itself. Dim corridors hum with malfunctioning lights, distant metallic echoes rattle through the vents, and every shadow feels pregnant with implication. This minimalistic storytelling places you directly inside the unease, reinforcing that survival here is not about combat prowess but about paying attention, thinking carefully, and keeping your fear in check. The gameplay leans into classic survival-horror sensibilities with a focus on exploration, puzzle solving, and stealth. OPEN DOOR consistently presents you with spaces that look deceptively simple but conceal important clues, essential items, or unsafe routes. You will spend time rummaging through drawers, piecing together scraps of notes, deciph…
Fun game for a couple hours, good puzzles
