DO NOT OPEN is a terrifying short and fast paced first-person escape-room experience, based on randomness in puzzle combinations, and classic survival-horror mechanics.
Mike Goreng is trapped in a warped version of his own home. What's going on? Where are his wife and daughter? As a scientist, Mike can't come up with an explanation for what is happening, but his instinct tells him that he is in severe danger... and something evil lurks in the darkness.
Being in Mike's shoes, you will experience tense moments where your heart rate will accelerate. Meanwhile, the personification of guilt, which Mike feels for betraying his family, will try to trap you.
Will you be able to run away from it?
The story of DO NOT OPEN takes place in the grand Victorian mansion of Mike's aunt Judith Goreng who, after committing suicide, leaves the house to her nephew.
Remember to explore every corner of the mansion and discover all its details.
DO NOT OPEN is a challenging survival-horror classic with gameplay based on escape-room mechanics. Each time the player crosses a door of the Hall of the Victorian mansion Judith's Manor, he will enter a different layer of each area, and its puzzles and riddles combinations will change randomly so that each game is different from start to finish.
To unravel the terrible mystery of the manor, the player will find different newspaper clippings, diary pages or other items in each game, making the plot a puzzle in itself. But he must do it before time runs out, or he'd better hide from the terrible threat that stalks him.

Honestly, not worth buying. I wasn't able to get past the second room with the dog puzzle because once the monster is active, you can't get past it to get to the door. It has no audio cues to know when it will be there and you just have to take a chance. Once it sees you, you can't get away, even hiding under the tables and in the lockers you get killed. And after dying, the puzzle gets reset and it's different. Too harsh in my opinion.1 found this helpful
Do not open... isn't for the faint of heart. This game has puzzles in it that do not hold your hand. Sure the game is a basic hide and seek from the monster... but the story interwoven within the game makes every step you take worth it. You'll think you know what's going on... but I assure you when you get towards the end of the game... you didn't "call it". Not only that... but the more you mess up on the puzzles... the more interaction you have with the creature in the game... so it makes solving the puzzles correctly more valuable. I enjoyed my time within this game... however... I don't think the game is worth the $24.99 asking price. I feel like that price point is more acceptable for games like "Silver Chains" or "The Beast Inside" (story based games that have a good lengthy story) because I beat this game in less than 4 hours.

not fun atall, first room you get put into you find a half a key, then have to enter a random word into a statue of a dog whos name is clearly displayed in a diary in the room, you enter the dogs name and nothing happens, not only that when the ghost comes to catch you for entering the wrong word you have to do that rooms puzzles all over again with different combinations, just truly tedious and badly designed.
