✦ AI summary

Players praise this indie RPG for its charming, nostalgic classic feel and well-designed, compact structure that respects players' time without excessive sprawl, though some find it accessible and relaxing while others enjoy completing it fully. The main complaints center on the story being dry and predictable with limited plot depth, repetitive grinding-heavy mechanics, unbalanced dungeon difficulty spikes, and the tedium of leveling up new party members from scratch. Overall, it's a straightforward, earnest love letter to old-school RPGs that delivers a pleasant if unremarkable experience fo

Playtime: 10h (actual playtime by saves in the game) Achievements: 70/70 Most challenging achievement: Teresas Star and Gold digger Recommending: Yes Story: Very dry and simple predictable story with only one small plot twist. (Would not hurt add a little bit more to it.) Playstyle: The mechanic of this game is simple and easy-going. Over the time really repetitive tho. Game is mostly about heavy griding for lvls. Fight system is same as Pokemon. Unbalanced system of dungeons lvl, while in the first dungeon you would encounter one strong and second weak monster fight together, in next lvl you get already 3 strong enemies. Adding companions to your party means staring to grind them up from lvl 1, so that means they gonna die on hit if you go against regular monsters you kill with a single champion. Graphic: Nice old school 2D RPG game. Overall really easy-going game to play on the side while doing something else. Game is really cheap, so for this price you get your value out of it for sure.

Oswald’s Adventure, developed by Dede Bayi and published by MLG Games, is a humble yet ambitious indie role-playing game that strives to capture the charm of classic turn-based RPGs. It’s a game that feels like a love letter to the golden era of 16-bit adventures, using simple visuals and straightforward mechanics to deliver a story centered on family, friendship, and perseverance. The premise is familiar but heartfelt: you play as Oswald, a determined young hero who sets out to find his missing sister. What begins as a personal journey soon expands into a broader adventure that carries him across forests, deserts, snow-covered plains, and volcanic landscapes, each filled with monsters, puzzles, and allies. Though it never attempts to disguise its old-school roots, the game’s sincerity gives it a certain nostalgic weight that makes it feel more personal than pretentious. At its core, Oswald’s Adventure is a traditional turn-based RPG built on a foundation of exploration, party management, and gradual progression. You travel through a world divided into themed regions, each with its own enemies, treasures, and challenges. Along the way, Oswald can recruit new companions, each with …

It's been ages since I played an RPG Maker game, and maybe that space made me ready to love this game, and I did, I really did. It's fairly compact in terms of progression, there is no sprawl. It's as well designed as any RPGM game I can think of, in terms of maps, unlocks, upgrades etc. In fact compared to the humongous amounts of RPGM games out there, this one contains you pretty well to make sure you dont waste time. Unless you are clueless for this kind of game, you will complete it in 20 hrs and you will not fail at any point if you save smart and check your party's capabilities regularly. And if you do fail, there is an excellent guide to help you in the community area (kudos to aquatorrent) I see some complaints about grindiness, which yes this game will require to a point. But if you ever played any early Final Fantasy games you won't find it excessive I don't think. Simple hint - conquer every dungeon twice, and fight all the fights in each - you should be ok Most importantly, I had fun in this. There are many RPGM games out there, but I can say I enjoyed this one and I think there was thought and effort put into how it was made
