It's criminal this game has just 13 reviews, so I'm going to do my part to fix that. Gebub's Adventure is a delightful light platformer that lasts about 60-90 minutes. You play as Gebub, an orb-egg thing, who needs to explore the world and collect orbs and make friends with various animals. The whole game is hand drawn, there are a bunch of different areas, the platforming is quite light and friendly, and there are no enemies. This is the perfect palate cleanser after a long or tough game. The art is adorable, the music is lovely, the environments are fun, there are lots of different little things to discover (I loved the roach catapult, I loved the mole family portrait, I loved the little guy who rescues you when you fall off a ledge in purple zone). Just a dense, fun, little thing! Highly recommended, and at $2.99 on sale ($4.99 regular), you could even buy a couple copies for friends!

Gebub's Adventure is a very chill game, a pleasant exploration platformer along the lines of Knytt but much more relaxed. No fail states, no deaths, just the occasional fall or missed secret passage you might have to go back for. It's generally pretty clear what you'll need to do with the collectibles, or if not, becomes clear pretty quickly. Like Knytt, the world has life happening in the background, lots of minor details you might not notice at first. Solid music, the art is nice to look at, it's just all around a nice experience. There are even a few particularly well-done pieces that took me by surprise, in a good way (most notably the stargazing island).

Small, relaxed, unassuming exploratory platformer with naïvistic art and wordless environmental storytelling. It's clearly indebted to an old freeware game Seiklus and as an old-time Seiklus-enjoyer I say this is a very positive thing. I had a good time strolling along Gebub's Adventure.

This is a beautiful and very atmospheric game. The transitions in the map between areas are seamless and creative. I love the art style and the thought that went into this game and enjoyed playing it quite a bit. I'd recommend this game to anyone, especially anyone who enjoys Studio Ghibli films.

The soundtrack is excellent, a very nice simple game that doesn't put any effort in explaining the world. Tell the octopus I said thank you

My favorite kind of game is the kind that drops you into a world and asks nothing of you, but provides riches when you explore. If you want, you can wander this grassy landscape and listen to lilting piano music for a while, then close the game and do something else with your life. Or you could bounce off of some flowers, take an elevator into a lava cave, deliver a pickaxe to a robot, save an imprisoned moonbird, and explore a mysterious factory in a mirror dimension. Gebub is cool with either one.
