About Outworld Patrol
Outworld Patrol is a side-scrolling action-shooting game inspired by one of the first games I ever played on PC.
Control a space rover as you jump to avoid obstacles on a horizontally scrolling landscape while shooting down alien ships that shoot missiles from above or charge at you head on.
The goal is to reach the planetary station in the shortest amount of time while taking minimal damage.
Built in Unreal Engine, the initial goal of the project was for me to expand my knowledge in the engine and to recreate a beloved game motivated by my own nostalgia.

A very fun game, challenging too but this game still needs a lot of work to be done, Some mines are too close to each other and the Neptune level is lagging super badly but the levels and the things you have to shoot at are actually really good and well put together.. Luckily I didn't have to spend all my quarters to beat this ;D I can't wait to see the changes to this game!2 found this helpful

Moving left or right, firing from the front and main gun, and jumping. You may simply hold down both buttons continuously because you have infinite ammunition. The main cannon can be aimed toward enemies while the front gun only shoots straight ahead. The crosshair is the only thing that is lacking because it is difficult to see where the mouse is. If you use a gamepad, you can avoid that issue. Actually, playing with a gamepad makes the game a walk in the park. You can turn on the auto-fire, aim the main gun at an angle and just drive forward. The only thing you need to worry about are holes and mines you need to jump over. These can be devilishly placed and kill you instantly. Most enemies are harmless. They simply show on the screen before blowing up after one or two shots. Some of them try to fire back, but that doesn't happen often because they have no chance. All stages are unlocked from the start. However, you still need to start the game from level 1 if you want for the score to register. Once you reach a cer…1 found this helpful
