Space Avengers is a lulzy, low effort 2D vertical scrolling shoot 'em up/Galaga ripoff. It looks like this is primarily a Unity asset flip and has all the same deplorably low quality as other asset flips on Steam. Taking this seriously as a game (not easy to do), resolution and controls are locked, but at least they got some fairly nice 2D spaceship assets to flip instead of using 2D retro pixel garbage. Gameplay itself is rather poor and unengaging. While this is free, indicating this isn't just a nasty cash grab, the quality is still way too low to recommend to anyone.4 found this helpful
Space Avengers pros: fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on, cons: lacks variety. repetitive. good game. Personal Suggested Purchase Price: NA (Free To Play)2 found this helpful
Space Avengers is a retro-style vertical shooter that unapologetically embraces the classic arcade formula of blasting enemy ships, dodging endless waves of projectiles, and surviving increasingly difficult encounters in outer space. Developed and published by DIG Games, the title focuses on delivering a pure arcade experience without layering it under complicated progression systems or cinematic storytelling. From the moment the game begins, it becomes clear that its primary goal is to recreate the straightforward excitement of classic shoot’em ups where fast reflexes and pattern recognition matter more than narrative depth or modern mechanics. The objective rarely changes beyond surviving, destroying enemies, and pushing forward through increasingly chaotic combat situations. This simplicity works surprisingly well because the game never wastes time with lengthy tutorials or unnecessary distractions. It understands that the appeal of arcade shooters lies in immediate action, and it throws pl…
Before I played Space Avengers, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
This game is not a game I would recommend. This definitely is someones first game and it is very clear at showing that. The pacing is not changing and once you know what you're doing, it gets boring fast. And very easy. I spent 12 minutes in one round and got 118k points, that is 118 ships. That is how bad at pacing this game is. I'm sure the developer put alot of work into it, but it definitely needed more time in the oven, because it came out as a really boring game. Good for when you want to challenge someone though. I played this against my cousin and I won obviously (pro gamer). But it got boring fast. (Someone start a boring count) Anyways, have a nice day/night peeps. Imma go play something else.
