Overbowed

Honestly, I was expecting a simple retro platformer and would have been very happy with that, but in reality, this "project" goes far beyond that. It has a magnificent soundtrack, captivating locations + boss fights, and extremely engaging gameplay mechanics. It would probably be absolutely amazing if this game had an additional, toggleable option for fast travel between save rooms. But overall, even without these "modern delights", this game exceeds all possible expectations. So, I highly recommend it to all retro gaming enthusiasts.

Fun little Metroidvania. Recommend playing.

What an incredibly well made little game. I think it's little, I haven't quite finished it yet. The exploration and advances in abilities are extremely satisfying. The movement and sound are just about perfect. I'm playing with the keyboard and I have no complaints about running, jumping, climbing. Once you get used to the shooting system and timing your shots so your quiver has a chance to reload, it's so much fun. The map is interconnected well with so many reasons to come back when you enhance your abilities to open up new areas. The save points are often enough without being too generous. The good thing is once you collect an item, it is yours even if you die before a save point. It costs a small amount of gold to respawn and at first I was worried about that, but eventually you realize you can farm gold if you so desire and you will have plenty even if you die a few times. I will say that if the developer hadn't added the option for 'easy boss fights' I probably wouldn't be writing this review. The boss fights are kinda stressful lol. I appreciate that option so much. great retro classic metroidvania in a fun gameboy style precision and timing required to stay alive PS there is a huge underwater room with horribly OP piranhas, i was having a blast till now, just rage quit, going to come back tomorrow and explore reexplore the rest of the map and do some more upgrading and stuff, you've been warned oh and also this may be controversial but this game has charms like HOLLOW KNIGHT but i argue that this game actually does it BETTER because you combine them for unique effects actually needed to advance, it's very brilliant making this a standout MV

It's bad, man. I really wanted to like this and the bones of a super cool little game are here, but the difficulty is too high for this to be as fun as it almost is.
