Yet not all psychological horror focuses on these aspects, and Paper Pusher is one of them. Sure, this game has monsters in the forms of the government and those who abuse the system, and its office setting could bring horror in any 9-5 worker, but that's not the same as others of its genre. The scary part comes from how you are being paid to execute people, and the toll that takes on one's soul. [h3]Story[/h3] You play as a jobless sap who is willing to take on any work. The only option available is to become a paper pusher (hey that's the title of the game!) for Extricate Inc., a company that works for the government. That's bad enough news, but it gets all the worse when you realize you're in a dystopia. This world has everyone fill out forms detailing their age, IQ, BMI, and other traits to show their value to society. Add in the space where they get to write…

It reminds me a lot of the game "Death & Taxes", but way more dark and upsetting. The feeling of doing a job you don't want to do and the daily routines are very well shown here and the different endings are giving it a replay value as well. You are going to finish this game around of 45 minutes. Saving your game isn't possible here and there's a mini-game inside, but... I think it should just add more to the daily-routine feeling of this game. Can recommend it to anyone, who's wishing to face darker topics, like duties and being forced to kill.

Really clever final "puzzle", is all I'll say, in terms of the last decision you have to make - on a lot of levels. Really enjoyed this. The writing on the forms is excellent and walks the line between darkly comic one excerpt and the next unflinching and devastating to even contemplate. Well done.

Very depressing but still has a good storyline! Would reccomend.

You may consider this a horror game or not, but there are no jumpscares in this game. Basically all you do is read and make choices. What choices to make is only up to you, there's no "right" or "wrong" ones. Considering it's free to play, good enough. Multiple endings, but in my opinion, one playthrough is enough.
