(This game is about 1 hour long and must be completed in one sitting)Become a family member of Extricate Inc.We are the most ethical non-consensual euthanasia service available in the US government. As a Paper Pusher, you will be the one who decides who gets extinguished and who gets extricated. These choices will be made based on metrics like age, gender, job, income, physical abnormalities, drug use, and much more! This job also comes with a complimentary apartment for the time of your contract and an Extricate Home Entertainment System for you to enjoy during your downtime!Main WorkloadAs an Extricate Inc. Paper Pusher, you will be filling papers. Each paper will be associated with a person, including details about their name, age, gender, job, and other relevant information. You then will make a decision of if that person is Extricated (Saved) or Extinguished (Killed). Each day will have 5 papers. Only two people can be Extricated per day.(This game learns who you are and what you care about in a person as you play.)

Yet not all psychological horror focuses on these aspects, and Paper Pusher is one of them. Sure, this game has monsters in the forms of the government and those who abuse the system, and its office setting could bring horror in any 9-5 worker, but that's not the same as others of its genre. The scary part comes from how you are being paid to execute people, and the toll that takes on one's soul. [h3]Story[/h3] You play as a jobless sap who is willing to take on any work. The only option available is to become a paper pusher (hey that's the title of the game!) for Extricate Inc., a company that works for the government. That's bad enough news, but it gets all the worse when you realize you're in a dystopia. It reminds me a lot of the game "Death & Taxes", but way more dark and upsetting. The feeling of doing a job you don't want to do and the daily routines are very well shown here and the different endings are giving it a replay value as well. You are going to finish this game around of 45 minutes. Saving your game isn't possible here and there's a mini-game inside, but... I think it should just add more to the daily-routine feeling of this game. Can recommend it to anyone, who's wishing to face darker topics, like duties and being forced to kill.1 found this helpful
Really clever final "puzzle", is all I'll say, in terms of the last decision you have to make - on a lot of levels. Really enjoyed this. The writing on the forms is excellent and walks the line between darkly comic one excerpt and the next unflinching and devastating to even contemplate. Well done.1 found this helpful

You may consider this a horror game or not, but there are no jumpscares in this game. Basically all you do is read and make choices. What choices to make is only up to you, there's no "right" or "wrong" ones. Considering it's free to play, good enough. Multiple endings, but in my opinion, one playthrough is enough.
