About Patrician IV
Build a trading empire across medieval Europe, rising from humble merchant to powerful Hanse leader through shrewd commerce, political maneuvering, and naval warfare. Balance economics, rival sabotage, and realistic city simulation as you establish trade routes, construct production chains, and expand your influence across beautifully recreated medieval cities.
Patrician IV is the sequel to the historical trading simulation and strategy series. You are a merchant in northern Europe in the late Middle Ages when the Hanseatic League was flourishing. Your goal is to rise to the most successful and influential member of the Hanse, ultimately being elected Elderman, leader of the trading league. You start bargaining with common goods, build up your own production and establish a merchant fleet. Later on, you will gain more and more political influence and even found new towns.
However, a Hanse merchant's life can also have its dark sides. On your way to power you have to hold your ground against fierce rivals, whom you have to fight with economic competition, price wars or impure means such as sabotage. Will you even engage in piracy?

The trade aspects are gold. The combat aspects are unpolished excrement. Auto-calculating is a more engaging and enjoyable form of combat than the experience you'll have 'suggesting' each ships direction, speed, and target. I literally avoided manual combat for dozens of hours, trying it again after watching a video online. Tried it today - made me nauseous and 'Alt+F4.'4 found this helpful

Not sure why but either Kalypso or Steam they took away access to my license. I purchased this game a second time because i had doubts that i even owned it on steam in the first place. Low and behold last time played was 2019 with almost 20 hours played. I absolutely recommend Patrician 4 then 3 played in that order. I love these games but can't recommend purchasing something that you can potentially lose and not get an explanation why.1 found this helpful
