About Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed
'Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed' is a Pay2Win business model simulator(adventure) that exposes the tricks online game businessmen use to maximize monetization. This game also gives you a chance to think about the value of paying money to Pay2Win games.
In this game, you become a warrior in a fantasy world, experience the Pay2Win business model and uncover the hidden secrets behind the systems.
-The Pay2Win model is not necessarily evil. But you must know on what you spent your money. Now you can, with this game.
-We recommend this game to those who have read Thomas Baekdal's 'How In-app Purchases Have Destroyed The Industry' and were excited by it.
-In this game, you will have to purchase countless transactions just to play. But worry not. The cash in this game is free and virtual, and is provided limitlessly. (NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!)
-However, the accumulated cash amount you've spent will be shown in the game screen, and this will bother you a bit.
-This game cannot represent all the pay2win tricks that exist in the world. Even now, new tricks are being conjured.
-This game simulates an MMORPG, but only supports single play mode. NPCs who pose as other players appear in this game.
-The 'Avatar' you meet in the game is an extension of the game's creator. Talk to him. He is dead serious.

This has been the most horrible experience of my gaming life. And that is what makes it great. Confusing? Ye maybe, but absolutely true. Imagine a mobile game, but they strip away everything that's fun. There's no challenge, there's no flashy effects, there's no convenience, nothing. This game lacks every feature under the sun, that makes gaming somewhat comfortable. Instead it piles on more and more and more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that gets between you and the fun. Upgrade this, but it's random chance. Upgrade that, but it's random chance. Spend 10 minutes running across the map only to have your speed stripped from you. Basically think of a game, that only involves every Pay2Win and Freemium scam you can think of. Go on, do it, think of it. Yep, that! That's what this game is. And it's interesting to suffer through it, because that makes you think about all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you endure when you play freemium titles who abuse systems like these. Highly recommend playing this. It's eye opening.11 found this helpful
I get that Pay2Win is more of a meta commentary on scummy p2w techniques that devs put into games that try to milk money, and I appreciate that part of it. However, making a game where the game captures all of the negative pitfalls is quite literally making a bad game. If you have the patience to sit through the boring replicas of boring things other games do, then give this a go. Otherwise, I don't really need to have a game exclusively focus on what I don't like about other games.4 found this helpful
That was the longest hour of my life really funny at the end though4 found this helpful
The idea is sound, and the execution is a bit rough but it gets the job done. And it has some charm. But after spending one full hour of clicking and draging items in an interface to advance one step in the plot/questline/ppt slide is just wrong! No pay to win game would make it so difficult and frustrating to spend in game currency. I do like a good grind, but after spending that hour and finally completing that step. You get another one just like it. I just quit and uninstall right there.3 found this helpful
This game is a HIDDEN GEM. If you played SCAM MMOs like MIR4, you will definitely love this game. If you, like me, spent THOUSANDS of dollars in scam MMOs and is tired of that, this game is for you. some things are very blatant scams, others are so disguised and pass unnoticed that even we very smart people with nice jobs don't even notice... The only reason why it is not on overwhelmingly positive reviews might be because people thought it was a "normal game". It is not. It doesn't mean it is a bad game tho. It is what it says it is. The game itself is also catchy, if you like MMOs, you will be tempted to play at least a decent bit of it (I'll come back revisit to the review when I have more hours of game to confirm that). Aaand confirmed. The game is great and catchy. I couldn't stay angry with the game even after losing a mission that took about an hour to make 90% of it, simply because it was my fault. The save came back, but I forgot to read that it only saves when you actually finish a mission, unlike MMOs where you can close and return to where you left off. Probably just another scam from some MMO that has the save that way! The only caveat I have is that you should use an…1 found this helpful
I understand that this game is a message by the devs but the experience could've been made at least somewhat enjoyable... This is just a garbage and tedious experience, 5 bucks for this is a robbery, this should be free and even then would be just a waste of time... Avoid.
