Peculiar Tales of Mid-Lake Pavilion

故事真的是大写的无聊，属于摆在地摊上都没人看的那种。最开始购买主要是被中国风的美术形式吸引了，可惜，阅读了一部分故事后，发现美术也不怎么样。 感觉阅读这个故事有点浪费时间。不推荐。 The stories are too tedious to finish. I only started reading because I was drawn to its ancient Chinese art style, but unfortunately, the art also disappointed me. I regret purchasing it and would say that reading it was a bit of a waste of time.

Beautiful and outstanding game, had so much fun playing it, crazy good visuals and sound track. My favorite thing about this visual novel is that there is multiple different stories inside of the main story. It makes us think about what is going on and the stories have a deeper meaning than what it seems like in the beginning. Also, I would like to mention that it made me so happy that English language is supported since i really enjoyed some of the previous games released by the same developer which unfortunately didn't have English language supported. Overall rating 10/10 would highly recommend ♡

The Ratman story is the only reason I disliked this game. What makes you think Try & Error is fun in games? You simply have to start over again and again and it was torturing after a few attempts.

This is sort of a compilation of short entertaining stories that explore intriguing ideas and all vary from each other in terms of aesthetic, content, etc. While most of them are rather dark or even intense, the overall atmosphere of the game is actually pretty relaxing lol. Though I did find certain parts difficult to understand, I still enjoyed everything regardless and honestly wish for longer versions of each story </3 Aside from that, the art and audio are awesome and atmospheric too! [strike]I'm also obsessed with the storyteller and want a full-length VN dedicated to him lmao[/strike] Anyway, I surely recommend this as a short and fun experience!

I only finished two of the stories so far. I like it. Will probably read other VNs by same developer. Cute little stories with ghost themes and melancholic characters having good experiences. Art, specially backgrounds, don't grab me by the nose like Magenta Factory's, but the game is very well produced. I like how Chinese it feels as well. Edit: I've now finished the game. Loved loved loved it :D Highly recommended.

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works fine (28/09/2023). Touchscreen for menu and choices, 'A' button for advancing text. Mega cheap on sale and worth the read. A bunch of short stories within the 'main story'. Backgrounds and artstyle are beautiful and it even has animated sprites for the characters which is surprising for such cheap vn.
