Met the bloke who created PentaZorg (in just a couple MONTHS in his high school year) at my university campus recently and I can tell he is a passionate creator. To whip up something this addictive and replayable in such a short time and at such a young age is a testament to the developer. It's tough, but very rewarding the further you go into the levels. The music is so banger too. Plus the fact that it costs the low, low price of $FREE means that this is a game that everyone should have in their Steam library. Highly Recommend

"PentaZorg" is an unusual game, perhaps erroneously described as a "bullet hell" game, but that's not accurate. It's more around pattern avoidance, but what comes at you aren't really free moving projectiles (can't be a bullet hell without bullets) but instead block patterns and so on... the dodging gameplay of games like Super Mario Bros is probably more apt. Which is all well and good but the technical implementation here is incredibly weak. This features really godawful, lazy minmalist blocky pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. Although, weirdly, there's some nice looking backgrounds sometimes, which shows the developer could have done better but didn't. Huh. Failing on purpose? It also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing dem…

A fun little time killer, well made, and a much-needed alternative to tetris. overall a great first steam game by the dev, and I think that community workshop tools for custom arenas and patterns would be awesome.

Hard to knock this down for being a free little timewaster - I found the patterns a bit stale on my 100+ run, but there's potential for expansion here.
