[b]persephone[/b] is one of those [i]'clone yourself by dying and use the corpses to hold down switches and whatnot'[/i] kindagames. very much a [b]sokoban-like[/b], targeting the necrophiliac demographic, but you can push multiple boxes at once, which is nice. the rest not so much, issue upon issue, all detailed below. there's a [b]paper-thin text-free narrative[/b], never a fan of those. something about audrey 2's spiky cousins taking over whatever world the game takes place in, but there are only a few short cutscenes in the whole thing. level select also has symbols instead of numbers, I like that even less, but the symbols show up on the levels, so they would be useful if they were actual numbers. and while it's great that there's no gibberish during dialog in cutscenes (skippable, another plus), the lack of any sound effects there is just lazy. there are [b]100+ levels in 10 chapters[/b], half concerning persephone, the rest another character, demeter, and there's a bonus pack to unlock by finishing the persephone story another way. plenty of hazards, but it's all [b]turn-based, no move limit, nor timer[/b]. you'll still have to make sure not to get murdered by lasers and w…

The main feature is that the heroine leaves corpses when she dies, up to 3 of them. Should we waste good things? Of course, no; so push corpses to spike pits to build a path, leave them on the plates to open doors or to protect the player from the shooting traps. + Rarely-used concept. + Four kinds of corpses: normal, stone, fire, and dark. For example, the stone ones can be pushed into the river to make a bridge. + Many mechanics: pits, shooting traps, crates, rivers, plates, poisonous crevices... + Hidden passages to bonus levels. + Nice graphics. = There is a little epilogue for Hades, where the gameplay is more like a regular sokoban. – No step undo. It's OK at first, but further there are the bigger, harder and longer levels. It's annoying when you waste time for replaying because of one accidental mistake in a hundred of steps. – Glitches. At first I was sceptical, but the idea to use your "dead body" as blocks i find innovative enough to keep playing. Not too easy so you have to retry some levels but not too hard so you feel the urge to throw your laptop at the wall.

Nice level of challanage. Only had to look up a few answers on the main story. The story is a little week. Not really sure what is happening. The grandma story so far is a challange. I like it

Persephone is mobile-first turn-bassed puzzler. Controls are direved from touchscreen gestures. Strange and unwieldy as the result. Puzzles revolve around multitude of mechanics: dead bodies, boxes, lasers, push buttons, fire, rivers, bridges... Most of them used in inventive and fun ways. Except one: "dolls". Honestly, they should be left out for good. Story is split into 2 parts and a half. Persephone part is alright, Demeter part is borderline annoying and Hades extra is silly good. So far it's mixed bag. It's glitchy mixed bag. I had to redo several secret levels because game "forgot" I completed them. At certain level game refused to accept my solution and progress to the next level. Glitchy mixed bag means thumbs down.
