About Pirate Defense

On the verge of being over run, the townspeople of Bridgewater have turned to you to save their tiny coastal village. A seemingly endless onslaught of pirates have heard of the fabled treasure your city’s castle holds and are eager to lay their thieving hands on it. Unfortunately not everyone in the town is so keen on helping you out, and the request for resources you have made for their protection has fallen on deaf ears. Luckily, the King has declared that the town will reward you with precious resources for every pirate you lay waste to on the high seas.

Will you answer the call to arms and defend the town with all your might, or will the treacherous seas infested with pirates prove to be your undoing?

Pirate Defense eschews the traditional tower defense model by letting you get as close as to the action as you dare. Each map features multiple branching pathways which are designed to reward players who make strategic choices in their tower placement and choice.

We want your feedback to help guide the games content updates and will do our best to make sure Pirate Defense remains in the list of your top played games. Our game development philosophy is to listen to our fans so expect rapid updates to address any issues or concerns you may have.

Enjoy!

Game is mislabeled, should be Early Access. Alot of the controls were buggy. Seems like a good idea and I hope they fix bugs and polish it but for now I cannot recommend this game.

This is a tower defense title, whereby you place building that fire at the pirate ships that sail past them on the river to the end. Your objective is to sink the ships before they made it to the end. If 20 ships reaches the end, you lose. There are 5 buildings which you can place, but the game doesn't give an explanation about their capability. There's a crossbow tower, an antenna-light building, a hammer, cannon and a crystal. From what I gathered, the crossbow is a rapid fire tower, while the cannon is slower but is effective against larger ship. Both the laser and the crystal are more powerful, but the sharp wooden hammer inflicts the most damage. These pirate ships come in various sizes, the bigger it is, the more attack it takes to sink. The more ships you sink, the more golds you earn. These golds are needed to upgrade existing building, or construct more building. Unfortunately, the game doesn't display how much gold is needed to upgrade the building. These buildings can be level up twice. A max level crossbow can wipe out a fleet of ships very easily, and when you have several more of these maxed level buildings, you are practically invincible. In fact in my first gamepl…

Definitely a solid quick play and proof of concept for Tower Defence in VR. I love being able to fly over the map like a god and place turrets where needed. The split paths are fun but I wish they would be predictable each wave as they would fly right past my defences. I think with some tweaks to gold increase and maybe some extra features this could be a daily play. I would love to shoot cannonballs from my hands too for some more interaction from me.

I loved playing tower defense as a kid, seeing a version in VR was so fun! Very cool!
