Pirate Ships

Pirate Ships looked okay at first. Average artwork. However, the pay-to-win nature of the game discourages me from playing. The enemies of the story mode are very tough for a beginner. You can only search and fight players for most of the game play during the early period. The money-spending players have a much better equipment, crew and ships than I do. Not much fun after all.

Looks like a mobile pay‑to‑win port. The mechanics become boring after just a few battles. Very simplified, even for a mobile game. It throws bundles in your face to purchase at every turn. Your first captain event actually forces you to make a purchase in the shop.

99% of all games are Pay to Win, whether up front, microtransactions...etc. This game is actually pretty good. I spent the $0.99 or $1.99 at the beginning for the Monstrous Sloop package which allowed me to proceed through the lower stages quickly. By hoarding onto your crystals, using amulets at appropriate times, very importantly not progressing through the Raid too quickly (cant go back to a lower raid level once you complete a higher one), and doing ENOUGH of the daily quests to get the item for summoning captains ( 1 item per captain or 9 items for 10 captains ). Then this game will allow you to proceed pretty far. Of course the whales in this game are OP as are in nearly every game. P.S. Best amulets in my opinion are Inferno, Plague and Inspiration. P.P.S. Killing an enemy cannon/loaders when they shoot stops the damage from hitting your ship (Inspiration amulet)

Not really like I need different setups for ships. Devs please let split captains, I want all melee fleet to win in MY STYLE‍

I can't just pass up anything about pirates. This is a free game, so I had to give it a spin. Well, now I can't stop. There is something oddly satisfying about battles in this game. Customization of your ship and crey gets you a lot of variety to poke around with.‍
