About Plague Lords: Witch Hunt

The thirst for easy gain leads a small mercenary squad and their employer to a lost barony in the forest, plagued by a mysterious illness. It may be a new kind of the Black Death that has spread throughout medieval Europe or the machinations of local witches. A cunning dealer tries to exploit the tragedy for personal gain and traps the mercenaries in a dangerous game.
The prelude to the Plague Lords game will introduce you to the core mechanics and set the stage for the adventures that await you in Plague Lords.

Battle the infected, explore lands shrouded in a mysterious epidemic, and try to uncover its secrets!

Not so bad but even for free, a bit too clunky and lackluster to recommend. I'd suggest checking out Ogre Battle, Disciples Liberation, or Unicorn Overlord instead.

I expect this is what they wanted with the demo but my god is it obnoxious and I forgot it's a demo, so I kept getting loot and hoarding it all. But my people got tired all the time because of the witch having low energy so you need to keep her out of the team. The crafting doesn't always work, can't get rope I had to kill zombies and get rope eventually randomly. The combat is lackluster you basically just end up spamming click click click. Ran out of arrows couldn't make more, couldn't repair armor but it still provided armor. If they work on it, it might actually be good, but so far it kept me interested enough to fight through the end. It may also try to be too complex for what it has right now, skills, attributes, gear, but in the demo most of it doesn't matter. The building system is horrible, you can't build wherever you want and if you are too far you can't use your storage items, but then you put the buildings in the way and can't go through them or around them except if you REALLY go around them and waste time. The AP system is horrible and idk why it exists, except for holding a building and having people reinforce or attack outside it has no reason to exist. The game…

Extremely cool concept ! Interesting idea, very well made, BEAUTIFUL graphics, easy to learn mechanics and controls, great story telling, thought-through characters.... The lot. Couple negatives and suggestions are as follows: Its a Prologue / Demo / Playable Beta / whatever - BUGS are present. Usually its ok to save your game into a second slot, "save & exit", load it back and you can continue. I would definitely add a visible grid. Far too often I missclicked and lost vital engagement because my support unit had to make extra steps. When archers / crossbowmen are out of ammo, they automatically switch to a melee from your inventory. Why not automatically switch to a fresh quiver ????? Cmon.... When you have a soldier inside a building and you exit that interface, game automatically switches to another soldiers / building.... WHY ???? Just because I exit doesnt mean I dont want to continue customising the soldiers chores / inventory. I would highly recommend 2 layer inventory - 1st layers for weapons, 2nd layers for tools. Switching back and forth is really annoying, keeping track of which trio of scavengers has correct tool for the job is unnecessarily tedious. Also, if yo…

The art style is really appealing, but after playing for a while, the game freezes and becomes extremely slow to operate. Hope this can be optimized. Looking forward to your future updates.

First, when the title is in English, then the default language should be English. Second: Settings menu can't be scrolled down here, as that hand icon mouse pointer does not transform, nor can I use the arrow keys to even see the other half of the options. 👀 I manged to improvise, but that was not very comfy. Controls are a but clunky & janky in-game, and the story is thrown at us before we know, how to play that game. 🧐 Third: That so called ``survival horror´´ BS spoils the start! The mercs did not even walk for 20 minutes, and already starvation & dying from thirst beacon! SKIP THAT CRAP. We cannot customize our characters at all, which makes me not feel attached enough to enjoy an otherwise neat story idea, albeit nothing special. Medieval Zombie Outbreak style, copycat 9990987. 🥳 When a game still is like that after first fixes & updates, then I better uninstall instead of expecting DEVS to effing care about what product they dish!
